  1. I got these with an e-bay purchase, there not my thing so won't get used. Never been run but you can see on the picture that the paint has come off where the wheel nuts have been clamped. They haven't been glued, have green foam liners and are +2 offset. I would ideally like to trade them for unglued M05 rims and tyres but would also swap for alternative wheels or two unused Tamiya servo savers. Thanks
  2. Same, and often sitting on the next table rubbing my face in it A good show! I hate to say it but I have 4 cars lined up and a 5th almost ready to go
  3. Yup more junk from Yeah Racing To be fair the temperature was almost at 0 and I might have just ever so slightly been running beyond the manufactures recommend application
  4. They are Yeah Racing, part number: WL-2005BK-F. If they release an M08 I'm deffo in I'm trying to be good at the moment but I keep looking at the TB Evo7 and now the re-release Lancia is making my wallet twitch
  5. I took the M05 for another test run and it didn't end well I spent most of the time waiting in the cold for the road to clear and when slowing down on the first test pull it flipped and the wheels went flying. Much better speed and I wasn't giving it full beans so I'm hoping that it will break 60 when I run it again. The website that I got the wheels from sells foam tyres so ill order some and try and fit them on some Tamiya rims. It's my first M chassis car and I'm really impressed with it, perhaps it's just a tiny bit over powered but it handles it remarkably well.
  6. @stew_mac That's looking full sick, when's your next ROSSA event? A healthy amount and it was also damp It should have smashed 50 so I'm sceptical that the Motor is the advertised KV and if it is that my speed controller can run it properly. Getting my EVO 4 ready and fitted a few small upgrades, switched to alloy turn buckles, lightweight front and rear propeller shaft joints, TRF419 arms and front shock tower. Looking forward to seeing what it can do although I have little hope for the ball diffs .
  7. I took the M05 for a quick test run, a little disappointing but was in limited space and not much grip on the surface. That could be all she wrote but will see how it goes in my usual running spot soon.
  8. Nice run, I've seen a few video's from the Aussie ROSSA guys... insane! If that was my running spot I'm sure my speed run fun would have ended in tears long ago Can you post some pics of the chassis and body, i'd love to see it.
  9. I'm no further forward since my last post but i will get on it soon. I took the FF03 for a run at the club on a carpet track, was surprisingly good and able to keep up with the race cars round the twisty's That's code for your going down Dougo I nearly gatecrashed your runway in December but the trip got cancelled. Gloucester?
  10. Yup it's a V2r kit, I posted the body before but here it is I'm looking forward to seeing your 3s run! I'm not sure what it will do but that's what I'm aiming for. The motor is a little over 13,000kv so if it holds it should be very interesting
  11. Was planning on finishing my M05 today but my soldering iron just went pop It's built for 2s with a 3.5t Fusion motor and XR10 Pro ESC. My FF03 has been given some love and is ready for some abuse I'm retiring the 418 from speed run duty as it's going outdoor club racing but replacing it with my TB Evo 4.
  12. @Jason1145 get some of these puppies (pn WL-2005BK-F). I haven't tested them yet but I am impressed with the quality. http://m-racing.co.uk/epages/b939f0c6-5af6-4fcb-a494-33669a7437d6.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/b939f0c6-5af6-4fcb-a494-33669a7437d6/Products/tyre-002
  13. Mine is mostly speed run related. Nice work on your recant videos Phil https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCywHs_g9qwg-8-nJjQoNDbw
  14. What's everyone up to project wise? I have decided to run my M05 and was having trouble finding foam tyres so here's the link if anyone is interested. https://m-racing.co.uk/epages/b939f0c6-5af6-4fcb-a494-33669a7437d6.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/b939f0c6-5af6-4fcb-a494-33669a7437d6/Products/tyre-002 Me Julie
  15. I wouldn't recommend Castle ESC's after the scary fire but they do have impressive specs and the data logging is very useful. They did replace the ESC and motor with no questions asked but it took a long time, I had to pay to ship it back to the US and no apology or explanation given. I would go for a Hobbywing XR10 pro(160amp) and a Team Trinity 4.5t motor, factory rated for 3s and would also be very good on 2s. There are lots of cheaper options available but as Jason suggested 120amp+ is needed and with the Motor it's all about RPM, 80,000+ is the happy place Castle Cremations:
  16. I don't think that's gonna be enough to worry @Phil_H. One man's decant is anothers slow, go big or go home Looking forward to seeing it but I really wouldn't recommend using a special body for speed runs unless your willing to destroy it.
  17. Thanks, there the same length but have less flex and are stronger, think they have changed the geometry as with the wheels on it looks like its added a degree or so of toe in. Hopefully it's for the better and I didn't measure it before so I'm not 100 sure. I am swapping the fronts aswell but I didn't get round to it today as I need to drill out those flattened screws in the last pic.
  18. Loving the build, have you decided on the ESC and Motor yet? Get busy bud... I've decided my M05 is going speed running, your going down
  19. Finally got round to working on my FF03. The car was getting a bit sloppy so I went for metal suspension mounts, TB evo 4 arms and some titanium coated shafts as nothing too good for my baby Also had some carbon reinforced parts I hadn't fitted and switched to big bore springs. Rear TB Evo 4 arm vs stock FF03 The shocks had been collecting foam tyre Big bore vs standard TRF (you need the aluminium cups to run the big bore) The back end finished, no slop with a nice smooth movment. Now for the front end
  20. I took the 419x club racing last night, first time I've been in more than a decade and it was awesome fun. You can see from the state of the body (was new) that I need a lot more practice. I did beat my friend's X-ray T4 so was chuffed, go Tamiya
  21. Thanks @graemevw, I ended up using the spur mount screws from a TT02 high speed gear set. They sit flush and don't protrude, I just need to decide what to do with it now either it's going club racing or will be another speed project.
  22. Looking for a TRF418 onwards and a FF03. Rolling chassis or complete setups, just let me know what you have and how much you want. Cash waiting and ideally from within the EU but would consider from further afield. They are for a friend, I'm not hording honest Thanks Doug
  23. Trade secrets! lol Have a read through Jason's speed run thread it's full of useful reference info. How fast do you want to go? 4000kv won't scratch the surface on a 2s lipo.
