  1. @HopperLeo You're very welcome my friend. I'm pleased you got it sorted. You may want to put some tape around the cable, or something in between where it goes under

the metal bracket though. If the battery took a knock from underneath it could possibly push the cable up and cause it to be damaged or cut by the bracket.

The cable on mine is 8.5cm from the battery to the plug. You should try doing the same with a Hotshot. It's a nightmare.

I still haven't sussed that out after 2 years of owning one. Like you, I find these things irritating as well  :D

The shocks are 120mm Yeah Racing Desert Lizards and they go for about $19.95 a pair. I really like them for crawlers because you can build them with droop or a sprung suspension, and they come with plenty of springs to build both ways. You can maintain a nice low ride height and still have tons of articulation. The holes in the piston of the shock are really tiny and make for some very firm shocks right out of the box. I take a tiny drill bit just slightly larger than one of the holes, and open up the holes one at a time until I find the valving I want for the vehicle I am putting them on. This is one of the reasons why I like them, and why I am soon to put them on my WT01 and CC01.

Hi. I have just been looking at the Lizard shocks and see that they don't come with any oil. Did you add some and if so what would you recommend. I mainly use my Wraith for crawling over roughish terrain and occasional jump/bashing.

    Thanks :D

  3. @PoormanRC Hi, your Wraith looks great, and that's some excellent hood cutting !  :D

I have never really been happy with the gold shocks on my Wraith, a bit too long and also very leaky, but have just read about the Yeah Racing Desert Lizards and will take a look at those. Thanks @Kingfisher  :D

I will take a look at your build thread too. Have a great week :)

  4. One of my rear dog bones keeps popping out on my DF-03Ra because the foams in the drive cups are wearing out.

For a temporary fix I have been cutting some foam from an earplug which works, but I would like to replace the dog bones all round with CVD's.

I can only find ones listed for the DF-03Ra in U.S.A.and after probable import duties to the U.K these become a bit expensive. Do any CVD's from other models fit which I could buy in the U.K ?

    Thanks :)

  5. @Terz1  You're welcome mate. I'm really pleased that you saw this post.

I didn't notice the report option, but  I've just looked at it.

It's to do with Copyright and trademark, Listing practices and Prohibited and restricted items.

I rang Ebay and reported him for fraud this morning, and they are looking into it.

But because I didn't buy the Boomerang via Ebay they can't update me on any progress.

  6. A warning to anyone interested in this Tamiya Boomerang on Ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163273819483?ViewItem=&item=163273819483

I bought and paid £80 for this in July and never received it, or got any replies to any of my messages or emails to the seller.

I know that this is the actual Boomerang that I bought because he is selling a Hotshot as well which was also on the same sales thread, and with the same photos of both RC's.

I have since found out he has had several ebay ID's and lots of negative feedback, eg "item not received" and "doesn't answer emails", and then his account has closed, only to reappear months later under a different but similar ID.

Paypal have taken out a case against the seller for me .

The fact that he is claiming to donate to charity disgusts me immensely.

People like this don't deserve to be associated with our hobby.

Your's are also nice. I like the silver metal panels on the first one. Have you upgraded to metal hubs on both or just the silver one?

Hi. The panels  are a RadshapeRC Aluminum Panel Kit, Version 2 with wrap under sills. Radshape are a UK metal work company who sadly do not make RC parts any more.

The hop ups on the black Wraith are, Fastrax Aluminum C-hubs and Steering Knuckles, with brass beef tubes in the front axle,

Aluminum steering links, Savox servo, fastback mod, front battery mod, cheap aluminum shocks (that came with it when I  got it), and a 27T Axial motor because I use it more for crawling and climbing.

The rear axle and everything else is stock.
