  1. I also have a Core-RC UAC-50 which I charge my Nimh batteries with. It is easy to learn how to use and works very well.

It does cost a bit new but if you don't mind using Ebay you will probably find a cheap used one (or similar) there.

Mine was used and it cost £20 inc post and it was in mint condition.

    connector type is a PHR-2

That's great. After I read your post I found the housings, along with pre-wired terminals at RS Components, and there is a branch near me.

I would have to buy 10 of each item for a total of £5, but that is cheaper than a new harness plus p & p, from Modelsport, who don't have any in stock for a few weeks (estimate).

I already have the Tamiya connectors, terminals and wire so, I can solder it all together. Many thanks for your help. I really appreciate it :)

The different plugs are to stop people putting them in the wrong sockets.

Not sure what the correct term for these plugs is but I have a spare battery connector from an old phone battery.

Hi Tamiyabigstuff , sorry for the late reply. Thanks for answering. Please excuse my ignorance, but are you saying your phone battery connector will fit in the socket ? I would never have thought to have looked at anything like that :)

  4. Hi, I have just bought a used TT-01E Subaru Impreza WRC 2008 with a TLU-01 Light unit that is missing the harness lead that plugs into the "BATT" socket and connects to the battery.
I thought that I could make up my own lead. I have wire and Tamiya plugs, and I  thought I could use the jst plug from one of the spare led's I have, but it won't fit in the socket. I am struggling to find the correct plug.

If anyone can advise me how to solve this problem I would be really grateful.

    Many Thanks

    Derek

  5. @Saito2   I don't know about the Futaba, but I have the Tactic TX300 which I use with my SCX10 and have had no problems at all with it. I have had it about a year and use it 3 or 4 times a month, for a couple of hours, and haven't had to change the

batteries yet, which are only cheap Ikea AA's. It also only uses 4 of these too, unlike most older transmitters which take 8.

I echo what Prescient said that they are really easy to use :)

Just a quick update to this thread - I decided to sell the Rat Brat (to help fund a new project ;o) and it was bought by Only4Fun (Derek) here on Tamiya Club - who has a Youtube channel, including this latest film!

Glad to see Krazy Kelly has gone to a good home!

The qr is the way to go if you don't mind spending on them. I have a load of spare E1 due to qr replacements.

If you can, it's worth getting a set of these tyres as they fit straight on the WT01 2.2 rims and give you great scale MT performance. Transforms the 2WD performance due to grip and contact area. Bargain at Hobbyking at the moment.

I've got those tyres on my WR-01 wheels.

    They are HUGE ! :D

  8. Hi @wilsonian Thanks for the advice on the quick release. I was reading through your Wild Dagger thread and think this is the sensible way to go. I recently bought a WT-01 rolling chassis which I was intending to use for spares for my WR-01 Double blaze, but because it came with Ball bearings, Alloy shock towers, Alloy front and rear hubs, Alloy c hubs, Alloy shocks, heavy duty servo and a Painted Double blaze body. After a quick clean, and seeing how good a condition it was in, it seemed a shame to tear it down. So I've  decided to restore it back to a runner. I've never had a 2wd monster truck. In fact the only 2wd's I own are a Brat and a Taiyo Edge Freestyle BMX  RC ! :D So it will be quite fun and interesting to have a 2wd and a 4wd Blaze. Thanks once again and I appreciate your offer of the spare. :)
