  1. If the sport tuned motor works I'd be suspicious of the brushless motor itself, or the solder joints.
  2. Untitled by Joe, on Flickr Untitled by Joe, on Flickr new driver figure.
  3. The aluminum hop up suspension arm mounts would be the only real upgrade you might want to do right away. The plastic ones can sheer in a hard hit to the front suspension.
  4. Pulled the trigger on a Monster Beetle even though I still have a Boomerang to finish building and a bunch of other odds and ends to finish up.
  5. You could use the Bruiser driver, or if you want a helmeted driver you could get a Sand Scorcher or Monster Beetle driver.
  6. totally agree! The U.S. response to this pandemic has been nothing short of a complete disaster. Lifting lockdowns too early is just shooting ourselves in the foot. It's really pathetic. The American attitude of "me, me. me" doesn't get anyone anywhere in a situation like this. I really feel bad for the meat processing plants that were forced to remain open.
  7. This is awesome, I never knew this existed? I just ordered one! https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/misc/rc-multipurpose-driver-figure/
  8. I keep all of mine. they are art to me. plus it's a big part of the nostalgic feeling for me too. Reminds me of the hobby shop I went to as a kid seeing them on display.
  9. There's still plenty of unknowns concerning the virus. Now children are getting sick after having it. In my area, NY/NJ we've had children die from it this past week. I don't want to bring something that's still pretty much a mystery at this point home to my wife and kid. 80k deaths in a little over two months is pretty insane, and that's with major stay at home and mitigation precautions in place. A friend of mine is an anesthesiologist at one of our big hospitals, and despite wearing full PPE everyday he just got diagnosed positive and he brought it home so now his wife is positive too. They have two kids under 4 years old. Too many unknowns for me at this point to let my guard down.
  10. My cheap FlySky transmitter has outlasted my Futaba. They're decent and if you want to add more cars to your fleet you can just buy a cheap 10 dollar flysky receiver since the transmitter can be used with multiple receivers. So basically you only need one transmitter for up to ten cars!
  11. Started decals on a fresh Frog body. Untitled by Joe, on Flickr
  12. The Creation Small Faces the Zombies Them early Rolling Stones with Brian Jones the Monkees Donovan
  13. Installed fresh wheels and tires on my Blitzer. I had Proline dirt hawgs on it prior. The stock tires grip way better on grass and dirt, it's like a whole different car now. Untitled by Joe, on Flickr
  14. Facebook makes you jump through hoops when you want to leave and cancel your account. I'll never go back to it. It's really liberating when you ditch it.
  15. Facebook is garbage. I quit that nonsense three years ago and never looked back.
  16. I got Blitzer Beetle wheels and tires. Untitled by Joe, on Flickr
  17. This is great info! I buy the Tamiya Polycarbonate cleaner and when i do I treat it like liquid gold! It's expensive and not everyplace stocks it, plus the bottle isn't that big. I will be trying the Revell stuff next time I need some.
  18. Watch some youtube vids of people weathering scale static models. Tons of cool techniques to learn!
  19. Realized the new 6600mAh lipo square pack fits nicely in the Blitzer chassis. You can't use the stock battery hold down but a velcro strap solved that. Untitled by Joe, on Flickr
  20. I've noticed a shortage of blitzer wheels, especially on ebay. The Stadium Thunder came with the flourescent wheels but I haven't seen them available for awhile.
  21. Looks really mean, the wheels and tires are nice choice!
  22. I'll be 41 in a couple weeks, but I feel like I'm 21!
  23. I use the same thing, just a little electric heater. Really makes a difference warming the stickers up.
  24. Jumped my Blitzer Beetle over a sand pile and then I went home.
