  1. Actually yeah, they really do.. my father painted it for me when I was a kid and I remember he told me it was a pain to brush paint it hahaha that must be it..
  2. the codes are not in the manual or on the box for this alternative paintjob :/
  3. Could it be these 2 perhaps? 1 TAM-85023 TS-23 Light Blue 1 TAM-85022 TS-22 Light Green hmm.. so difficult to see on a PC monitor.. they might be to bright? :/.. maybe I should just play it safe and pick the Yellow original colour..
  4. Should I take it that the Metaltop wide pajero kit is the best place to start? Or is the Landfreeder better in terms of kit parts? (i guess they both can have same bodies?) Oh.. just realised that there are quite a few cars running the cc01.. rally sport, ford bronco, etc.. Wonder wich version is best prepared for trails/crawl?
  5. SWEEEEET! That looks like fun! It also looks like it has some hopups? Oh.. hmm totally missed that one. Thanks! ABS should be a bit stronger right?
  6. Wow thanks all for the fast responses! Great ide to compare the manuals.. I will do that and see what I can find. I dont own the car just yet, but the lowrider is around half the price of the regular pajero metalwide so I thought that would be the better route
  7. Just wondering what it would take to convert a Tamiya RC Mitsubishi Pajero Lowrider into a regular Pajero jeep for trail/light crawling? Possible or just a waste of time/money? And if you know, what items would the convertion need? Thanks in advance!
  8. exactly! I got a son in august 2014... aah the BC memories. But, now I can justify buying lots of RC stuff again.. He is also talking about old classic gaming consoles so I had to buy a couple of em too..
  9. Thanks for the info and clearing that up :). Hmm.. then what car could it have been I saw back in the days?? I just remember it as a slim buggy, with blue and white coloring (mostly white ), white rims, and could been slim front tires also but not sure :/ . Maybe that one wasn't tamiya at all? well, the search goes on! Hahaha reliving the glory days of 2014 :D.
  10. I choose when I was a kid, around 10 years old I think (1990 ish). I dont really remember but I was with my father at the local toy shop and they had the LB kit and another car looking like the neo fighter. But since I read your post I googled the neo fighter and cant find any original release year??? isnt the neo fighter a rerelease??
  11. Could i please have those color codes? The blue is darker that I remember but the green is prolly right!!
  12. Thanks for the offer but I meant "Acoms Technisport". It was the one I had originally I should have said :).
  13. Hehe ok :). I am really tempted to buy the original radio I had for it but that might be taking it to far ;). Might get a lot better radios for same price now days I think. Now I just need to figure out the paint codes for the blue/green so I can place my order! By the way, any special type glue needed? And should I put foam inside the tires?
  14. Hi! Anyone got the paint codes for this Lunchbox paint example? I guess its spray now days?
  15. Hmm I'll look into the futaba :). I just need something that would be enough for my tamiya rereleases. So hopefully not over 100usd since that might be overkill for running them?
  16. Great tip there! I actually got a few deans from him also but as you said, they are small and I find it difficult to disconnect them. I'll search for the Duratrax star ones! About radio.. would a sanwa mx-v do the trick?
  17. Hey! Thanks! I am located in Skövde. A friend of mine offered me 2x WP-1040-BRUSHED ESCs for 12$ (for both).. worth getting? Man was I happy to see this on the side of the box!!! (see pic) This is the way my father painted it for me as a kid... please tell me that these color codes are preserved somewhere? Would love to paint my new one the same..
  18. Thank you so much for all the info! I will check the paints out.. Original yellow would be easiest.. but would sure be nice to get it as close to the old one as possible :/.... man i regret throwing it..AHH.. but its about 20 years ago so no point
  19. TS paint is spray right? The original manual said Lemon Yellow, but cant find that one in spray :S.. need to check my old VHS tapes and see what colors my car had.. i know it was green and blue but wich was where? haha man this nostalgic feeling is awesome!
  20. Thanks alot both of you! Hm.. the sizes of the batteries worries me a bit.. wich sizes fit without mod? I am looking at 3200mAh and 4-5000 mAh. I did only get 1 stock ESC, the lunchbox is without. The Neo Fighter has included ESC thou. Since I found that the opinions about the stock ESCs varied quite a bit, and also the ESC models also differed, then I choose to find a good one myself instead for the lunchbox
  21. Hi all! When I was young and got my first RC car, I had to choose between the lunchbox and neo fighter.. i choose the lunchbox and had a blast untill the esc cought on fire and stopped working. After a couple of years I threw the car and controller after hearing it was not repairable. Needless to say I have regretted that for many years :(. But today I received BOTH kits (rereleases). I couldn't stand the emptyness any more. I also bought bearing kits for both cars. What else do I need? I am about to order some paint tonight or tomorrow so I thought I'd just ask if there are any other items I will most certainly need when building the kits. Grease? Glue? I also need to buy servos and batteries.. haven't decided if I should go brushed or brushless yet.. i don't need the cars to go faster is is there any other benefits or should I just stay brushed? Thanks for your time!
