this is the spoiler and the home made nose from my dark impact, these are the bits that the paint masks didnt lift! i used all tamiya paints, first a coat of ps-31 (smoke), then a coat of ts 10 (french blue) then i removed the flame masks and used ps 34 briaght red! the finish aint brilliant, could of done with another coat of smoke before the blue, comments welcome! french blue, with the masks removed blue front the red the flames fitted to the car thanks for looking, your local friendly snake

ok so i started to spray my dark impact shell today, i have done one coat and the paint has lifted the flame masks i have aplied! is there any thing i can do with this? i was hoping to remove the masks, remove the paint, and start again, is there any way of stopping the masks from lifting? cheers martyn

i agree ebay, i have resently got a dark impact, and have baught 3 rasing stuff from dinball, and stella, stella took 4 days to get to me! thats not bad hong kong to the uk in 4 days :-) your local friendly snake

the 15th thats a shame, just when i was hoping to go it changes to the one day i cant lol, im at horse of the year show working that week end.

dunno about that msc motor combo, but the tt-01 will take most motors, alot of people think it wont, but i quite happly run a 12x4 in mine, so maybe its worth u getting a mtroniks tempo 11 viper 11t limit for future upgrade possiblites for the motor, that esc is water proof and only £30ish quid on ebay, i ran one in mine, but changed it for a no limt esc as 11turn limit with a 12turn motor was causing every thing to run a little warm, another thing i would recomend is get the ball bearing steering and the adjustable turn buckles to try and remove the play in the steering! the tt-01 is a nice sloid car and can be made to handle well!

hay all, i blew £150 on a dark impact and a pile of hop up's, the di came in the post this morning, and im just waiting on the hop up's, thou i may start building any way, but im not sure what motor to run in it, with the tt-01 i just baught several motors, starting with high turns down to a 12x4, of which i have three spears, but im wanting the di for off road (ish use) and think a 12x4 will be to much for this, so whats the best motor for said car? also what the best esc to match that motor? also with the di is there any thing thats a must have? cheers your local friendly snake

i want to put flames on the front of a car, and was wondering how easy it was to make my own paint maks? any advice would be great cheers, your local friendly snake

so having got me tt-01 the way i like it, decided it was time for me to get the dark impact iv wanted for an age, for orderd one from dragon shop dk, and also baught a load of bits from dinball, so this will be the first car i built from a kit, the tt-01 started life as a pro built thingy :-( so first of all any advice? plus also is there any upgrades that are a must? i know it come with full ball bearings, and oil dampers, (which will both be replased at some point in the future any way), so i have baught some bits for looks, and bits for improvmenmts, these are, alloy prop, bevel shaft set, graphite front and rear damper towers, alloy gear box cover, alloy gearbox plate, hard turn bukle set, and alloy heat sink bars! but is there any thing else, next the bit im most likly to mess up, any advice on spraying the shell? cheers for any advice your local friendly snake

hi mate try applying heat to the pinion gear with a lighter! this works well, we have a similar problem at work with a wiper motor for the drivers hatch on the worrior's at work, its a 12grand motor that gets scrapped if two grub screws cant be removed (mad i know but thats the army :-p ) so all i do it warm the area up with a lighter and 9 times out of ten it will come out! hope this helps your local friendly snake

hay all, i love the tt-01 i have, but have the need for something diffrent, decided on a dark impact, but im also looking at other things as well, not sure what, maybe a clod, or i like the look of a monster beetle, midnight pumpkin metallic edition, thou to be fair i dont know wht i want lol, so im after sujestions, cheers, your local friendly snake

this sounds fun, but i have no idea were it is, and also i only have a tt-01, but looking for a couple of new cars as i get paid next wednesday and have a good pay packet comming up! so whats worth taking to this place, and also were is this place

yea best thing i evey did is GPM Alloy complete Tie Rod Set found on ebay at 130046062641 (thou buy two sets as i have broke one, so now have a spaer set as well) and also fit GPM Alloy Steering Assembly found again on ebay at 330031368372! the tie rod set tamiya do one as well! but £4 posted from hong kong or were ever for the gpm one cant be bad! i also run slight toe in on the front, and 2deg camper rear, 1 deg front, duno if this helps, cheers martyn

the dark impact is going to be my next purchace, and there on ebay for almost half that, 66.99 +25 postage from hong kong! do a search on here and theres a post about the trusted hong knog dealers! hope this help, your local friendly snake

the gpm dampers are nive bits of kit, stock springs are a little stiff but replacements easy to find!

i was running a mtronics with a 11t limit, but it was getting to hot running the 12x2 i run in the car, so i kindly gave the esc to my g/f who is building a tt-01 her self, and am waiting for a new no limits esc! i need to get a inner shell/dust cover, but am woried about the loss of air flow!

im a bit of both, i like my chassis as well as my shell to look good, heres my chassis, its ran with a mustang shell thats war torn, but i have a new one im in the middle of spraying up, also the car is waiting on a no limit esc, this may be a sore subject but i dont see the point in shelf queens, i respect the work, but at the end of the dy its there to be ram!
