  1. I know Harley mentioned the cage being flimsy where the sway bar mounts. I don't find it to be flimsy at all. Maybe the panels help keep it rigid. But it is quite stout. They also give you a spot to mount an extra bar across the cage. Which I really like. A 104mm link will fit perfectly here. I plan to machine one for it, But I'm sure they can be found online.
  2. Well, we had our first run in the dirt. I am really impressed. This thing runs great. And with the sway bar, handles great too. Now, once I get the turning radius a bit sharper.. I may deal with unwanted body roll. But right now that wasn't an issue. 4100kv on 2s with a 15t pinion is definitely not too fast and I don't anticipate any breakage on the driveline. It's geared low and and never felt overly powerful. 19mph top speed with turbo and boost set to zero. It is front heavy, and it does jump that way. But anyone who knows how to handle a rig mid air will find it easy. I actually liked the challenge of jumping it. It handled like a real truck with real weight to it in the front. I will need to tune my shocks. Heavier oil in the rear should do it. I upgraded my rear shocks to xd piggyback shocks and they give more spring than I would like when landing flat. So far, I love this truck. I think it's going to be a new favorite of mine for trailing and laps on a track.
  3. Just about finished.. [/IMG]
  4. I've ordered HPI spider gears to try and open the front diff. These are the same ones that would work in an ar60 axle.. so I'm hoping they fit. Gmade may eventually come out with their own though, as they made the axle to be able to take them.
  5. I was suprised when I couldn't fit the 6 channel receiver I had planned.. I use them on everything so I can have options for lights and such. I may have to remove the board from it's case and make my own. Or use a 3 channel..
  6. Yup, just got them in today. Preorder bonus was 26 aluminum balls. The kit takes 32. Luckily with the aluminum trailing arms, We end up with 32 aluminum balls. So if we use plastic ones on the shifting servo, We have two to use on the sway bar.
  7. Did your aluminum parts come with 5.8 aluminum balls? The pictures on gmade site shows them in pictures, But ebay pictures do not.
  8. The front one looks kind of funny in pictures. But I figured why not make it all match. Thanks for confirming the price. I was worried about getting a cancel email.
  9. Front and rear aluminum arms, Sway bar set, brass steering knuckle bushings, Shock brace and spare tire mount. These were the only things available on ebay when I ordered. I still need the motor mount CVA and driveshafts.. among others. The rear arms I were only $23 from this seller. I have a feeling it was a mistake and he will cancel the order.
  10. @Twinset Where did you order your CVA's from? I was able to get a bunch of option parts on ebay so far. But they don't have the CVA's or driveshafts in stock anywhere else yet. Thanks for all of the info initially. The post you did listing the specs for the vehicles in their promo video was very helpful.
  11. They just released option parts... Afyer refreshing the page for over a month, 10 times daily... they are finally up and for sale.
  12. Your right. It does seem stout right out of the box. The one thing I see being an issue is the motor mount. Some have had issued with the motor not being clamped tights enough. But an aluminum motor mount is usually an upgrade I do before I even run the truck. The yeti is a good example of that. That and the small lockers might give out under brushless power. Time will tell.
  13. Looks like the kit may suffer from a few issues out of the box.. but luckily they have made option parts to fix these. It will be interesting to see what we can do with it. Anyone have a guess when they will release the option parts to the US? Id like to get a few and put then in while I build it.
  14. I've been trying to finalize my account on here for weeks... It's been frustrating having info and not being able to reply. I bought that clear killerbodies driver a few builds ago... but he is too small to do anything with. From the manual, I did some math on gearing: Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.31:1 Differential Ratio: 3 Tranfer Case Ratio: 1.82 1st Gear (Low)- Transmission Ratio: 2.19 Total Ratio (Final drive): 51.5088:1 Rollout: 0.34:1 Second Gear (High) Transmission Ratio: 1.43 Total Ratio (Final Drive): 33.6336:1 Rollout: 0.52:1
  15. I had a hard time watching Harleys build video... it was clear he was going to trash this kit the whole time.. right from the beginning. Complaining about the smell.. saying that gmade obviously never drove this kit before putting it out.. when there is a bunch of running videos on YouTube... and the rig looks very capable in all of them. Saying it has no purpose... and the ground clearance was too high. Yet one of his all time favorite trucks is the wraith? There's no way it was an unbiased review. Just a rant... I've been building mine and have not had a single issue.
