  13. Lol ha ha years ago I put a can of Shultz body sealant on a radiator in work and forgot about it in our locker room lol well I had badword of a bollucking as it blew up and was over the ceiling and every where lol , it was stained for years until it was done out lol
  14. Or another idea would be to cut small heat shrink tube and cut like pieces off 2-3 mm and heat shrink them on at the Center point Put a dab of grease in there before screwing up and imagine they be lush :-)
  15. Only thing with doing that to king pins its going to wear fast as the load is on one point . when it’s spread in that clamp it’s not as bad . its a poor design . it needs like a brass tube / bush pressed over the ends or some thing . you could take plates back off and glue very thin pieces of nylon / plastic and it go into the curved section on the clamps
  16. I would give it one very light coat of the laquer . then same again in 24 hours then flow the last coat on . i always put my spray cans on a radiator for ten minutes or stand them in a bowl of hot water . becarefull not too long incase they explode . pressure in van is much better and paint definitely goes on nicer as it not comes out in lumps if it’s cold and thicker .
  17. Just went on that site and found them and by the tine they add post and VAT the two rear mounts and one front are just under £38 ! will cut and shut them if I have too . surprised there’s none on eBay
  18. I tried pushing the suspension arms down with shocks unbolted and was only a small amount of lift available . will have to look more into that shapeways parts thing thanks
  19. Hello I’ve bought some nice eBay wheels tyres combo and the body needs an extra 15mm aprox lift . front mount is is simple it’s currently flipped over but needs a spacer too to get perfect but the rear is more of a pain . if you flip the body mounts on rear then it’s too high but I could may be modify them to drop them down abit if mounted on top . but what I really Is aftermarket front and rear mounts . are they any available ? I would also look into them chopping and fixing side steps against the body like how they should be any way and not mounted off the chassis cheers Steven
  20. Yes it goes back on easily don’t forget a dab of red lock tite
  21. My rear diff pinion and large gear was more worn on the rear of mine . so I just swapped the pinions out the best one from front against the slightly worn gear , then shimmed and greased it up . then rebuilt the front the same . the play in the front king pin joints is normal before refitting the little plates I put afew drops of red loctite in there and it’s been used around the house afew times but still quite tight
  22. I’m running the tamiya high torque motor and decided to ditch the original speed controller and use a tamiya ESC also
  23. To refitt the pinion you can also press it on with a vice . if your vice will open wide enough carefully hold pinion over end of shaft and use the vice to compress it together being carefull again not to press it in too far
  24. To avoid damaging the motor when you knock pinion on . place the bottom of the motor over a vice so the inner shaft sits on it . so when you tap pinion on your not hitting the shaft inside the motor if that makes sense .
