Tamiya Blazing Blazer motor and motor cover wanted
Lightningrc replied to Doc Hollywood's topic in Trade Archive
It’s an interference fit pinion , if you like then put a tiny bit of rod loctite on new motor shaft and tap the new pinion on being sure not to knock on too far and to leave the same gap as like in original motor -

Yes it does . put the old motor in a vice to make life easier for you with pinion sticking up in and clamping against motor body . use two flat bladed screw drivers inserted under the pinion , then prise each side evenly both the same time and it will lift straight off . -

Have you got a dead cat in that glass box lol only kidding it looks Awsome -
It’s drivers preference . my first RC car which was built for me in 1982 was a Sand Scorcher and you pulled the stick back to go forward . theres no way now I could drive them any other way lol and would never want to change it . i drive full size autos now and then and it’s the same with gears lever push forward for reverse . which ever way comes natural go with that as no right or wrong . i fly Rc helicopters and one of our members learnt with all his sticks going the opposite way except for throttle . in his head it’s correct and he’s a good flier lol where we always take off nose away from you , he takes off nose in lol

Finally finished her , she’s been painted in metallic black 2 pack paint and Laquer . hard to see in pics but paint job is amazing how it came out . I stripped the chassis down to every nut and bolt and painted / cleaned and rebuilt . decided to spray the chassis rails Matt black as felt it’s more realistic as who has a chrome chassis lol . I fitted a tamiya high torque motor and ESC . running old style 4000 mah battery but with an extra matching Sanyo cell to make it 7.2v instead of 6v , not sure why tamiya didn’t make two versions of this battery as they fitted a carboard tube in place of where a 6 cell would go . Blazer is set up on Futaba 2.4 . I carefully test driven it around the house and gears are very small and it drives well . It may be driven once a year out the garden on a nice day :-) -

Yes I normally love box art but I’ve got an old 3 speed Hilux in box art and it would just be the same red . so decided against -
