The various Mugens I've had in the past. For nitro kits they are very easy to put together with Tamiya-like instructions and virtually bomb-proof quality.. And to be honest, anything that can stand being thrown together at the last minute and survive a full days racing the next day gets the thumbs up from me!

Today I've washed the plastics of the 959, tidied up the workshop a bit, looked at the SCX10 wondering what to do to it next and ordered a FTX Ibex 1/24th scale, 4wd and 4ws

There's some good stuff in here that I can relate to. I race 1/8th nitro offroad and the comments about marshalling make me wince slightly. Especially the ones about cars coming at you at chest height! I've had far too many close calls with wayward buggies and truggies but I have seen people get hurt. I also had a situation once when a car had come off the track. Just about to put it back on the track and he pinned the throttle sending it straight into my legs. Luckily I was wearing boots and Nitro motors don't have much torque so I wasn't hurt. But he was black flagged and lost his fastest time of the day. But yeah, drivers who aren't considerate of others are one of my pet hates about the track.

I've managed to completely strip the 959 ready for cleaning and restoring. Those little clips holding the diff outdrives on are a sod to remove though!

Finished installing the FX-10 kit onto the Lunchbox, replaced the roll bar and driveshafts on the SRB and fitted radio gear into the Escort.

That looks amazing! You just need some crims to chase after now.

My Dad's Sand Scorcher was the first Tamiya I saw and that was back in 1981 when I was 4. The first time I saw him run it was at a local club race and then I was hooked. It wasn't long before he bought a XR311 for us to share driving duties.

Today the postman brought me this... :D This is one restoration I'm very much looking forward to!

Today I've managed to complete my SRB restoration, it's quite peppy with a Sports Tuned in it! Also managed to finally install radio gear in the M-03 and started the restoration on the Super Sabre.

Very jealous! I've just finished getting my 6T ready for a weekend of racing as well. They're lovely trucks, easy to work on and pretty much bomb proof!

Yep, i'll be adding them to my showroom in the next few days I just want to tidy up the body a bit first

Today i've completely managed to strip and restore my Falcon, it looks awesome now

I finished converting my Dirt Thrasher into a TA01. All i need to do is stick some radio gear in it and paint the Mk1 Escort body and it'll be sorted then

Hello fellow TCer's. I'm converting my old Dirt Thrasher into a TA01/02 and i need to know what the part number for the rear driveshafts is. I've looked in the manual and it just says SA2.

Today i looked at all the cars that need things doing to them and thought 'Where on earth do i start??' Finally decided on finishing the Dark Impact i've had for 5-6 years!

I'm the same now, i look after my tamiya's and don't give them too much abuse. I definately dont run them as hard as i used to, i've got my traxxas's for that!

I nearly bid on that!! Today i have set up my spektrum r/c on 4 cars, fitted electrics to the old Rustler and done some odd bits and bobs. Going to wait till the weather is a bit warmer until i paint the mini, mk1 escort and dark impact.

I didn't start collecting and restoring until i'd joined here. I was aware of all the Tamiya models and such cos i was a R/C nut when i was a kid and used to get my parents to buy the Tamiya catalogues. We never threw anything away so we still had my dad's old SS and xr311, they're both current projects, as well as the stuff i had. It's only been over the past couple of years since i joined ebay and discovered that i could get cars from my childhood that i've really started collecting.

Today the nice Mr Postman brought me lots of Madcap and Falcon spares for my resto projects. They can begin in ernest now! He also brought me my Muse HAARP Live at Wembley dvd as well

Today the postman brought me new wheels and tires for the Falcon, new rear tires for the Madcap and a new motor mount for the Dirt Thrasher. In the next week or so he should be bringing me the aforementioned Falcon and Madcap and a metal gearbox plate for the Madcap I'm a happy boy

Went to work, got bored, came home. Currently trying to fix my sisters pc and deciding what colour i want to paint the Lunchbox

A Sand Scorcher '10 is on the top of the list at the mo. There's so much more i want to get though, maybe a Hotshot or a Boomarang? Would like to get my hands on a Hornet, Madcap and Thunder Dragon because they were the first 3 cars i had and ran into the ground lol. And paint them in the colours mine were. So thats, metallic purple for the Hornet, flourescent green for the Madcap and silver for the Thunder Dragon
