  1. Hi all. Never been to Clumber for a meet before. Are you racing on 'old' type batteries too and Tamiya motors or do you run modern batteries? Will i be able to run an old Wild One in a catagory? Simple questions i know but don't want to look a fool when i arrive with the wrong car!!
  2. Cheers gentlemen. Just my luck you cut a pair up recently. Still, one has to improvise now and again!! Adam J, i've sent you an e-mail. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.
  3. Hi all. I need a pair of Grasshopper/Hornet wheel hubs to fit my Wild One so that I can fit a set of rough Rider wheels. Can anyone help?!! I am also looking for a pair of Sand Rover front lights. Please e-mail me if you can help! Cheers.
  4. Hi. Required for resto. project. Do not have to be new. Any condition ok. Please e-mail me with details. Many Thanks..
  5. Cheers mate, appreciate that.
  6. Thinking of selling two King Cabs, if i don't i'll need a replacement body. Any ideas on a repro one that'll do the job as i guess correct replacements (Nissan/Toyota) are hard to come buy. Cheers.
  7. Hi Jay, I've tried to e-mail you to accept offer on parts. Please advise postage costs to UK!!! Many Thanks.
  8. Hi Jay. Thanks for replying. I have tries to e-mail you but the message is returned with error? Please try again!! Thanks.
  9. Must be original steel grey colour and in pretty good condition. Cheers. Tyres not important
  10. Thanks for taking the time to send the picture. It shows that it is not until the model is sprayed that you get a true colour representation. I will compare the two and decide. Thanks again.
  11. Hi. As usual, i require lights, machine gun, arms (to driver), Bevel Gears L & R, Diff washers, joint shaft x 2, steering wheel. A complete rear gear-box would be acceptable. Seems alot but the rest of the car is complete! Cheers.
  12. Is there to be another meet planned at Clumber Park in the near future? Anyone have any info? Cheers.
  13. Cheers mate. Appreciate your reply. I did'nt want to spray the car and it look hidious! Does this Olive Drab colour appear very dark or does it dry slightly lighter than on the can lid?
  14. Hi there! Th eusual wanted! Machine gun, lights, arms to driver. Any thing else considered. Cheers.
  15. Hi all. I am currently restoring a FAV i bought from a car boot sale. The manual states the Olive Drab code to be used as XF62. I have been to a model shop and the Tamiya paint code for Olive Drab is now TS-5? Is this the same colour as XF62? Can you still get XF62? Is TS-5 too dark a green/ Any recommedations? I have a FAV New Built so thought an Olive Drab colour scheme would be different. Many Thanks.
  16. Well, what alot of info. you guys have!! I would like to thank you all for your contributions. Looking back i remember seeing small screws on the uprights of a Scorcher a owned as a kid. These model i have recently bought has the moulded versions so i guess there were differences. I will post a photo of the the statement during the week. I have only subscribed to this site a few weeks ago and already i have found it to be of great use!! Unfortunately, i have been hit by the bug and now have 11 old Tamiya cars! I also obtained an XR311 at the car boot for, wait for it....£25.00 including period radio gear and batteries!!! Luck me!!
  17. Must be good condition and original. Good price paid, cash waiting...!! Thanks
  18. Hi all! I have just aquired a Sand Scorcher from a car boot, including the box, for £20.00 less the body! Good buy i think! The box states that the kit includes the 'New improved suspension and front bumper'. Am i corrcet in assuming the older model had a black bumper, this has a grey bumper. Also, what is the difference in the suspension?? Finally, the box has parcel tape on it to secure it to the main box. Any ideas on how to remove this without harming the box? Te box is, apart from this, mint. Regards, Andy
  19. Many thanks for your replies/advice. I shall bear this in mind for future restorations and new putchases! Maybe we could put together a forum for 'valuations' on the different models? What do we all think?.
  20. Hi there! I have a Hotshot 2 that i was about to strip, clean and re-build. Its' wing is missing but it hass full radio gear. The front bumper (that displays TAMIYA) is broken but this can be obtained. There is one on e-bay now!! It also has the original box and instructions, although showing signs of their age. Was'nt considering selling it until i had restored it but with the right offer may consider? If you want pictures let me have you e-mail address and i will send! Cheers.
  21. Hi there! Is the value of a car affected if it is not sprayed/painted as it is shown on the original box from Tamiya? Do most people spray/paint their cars the same or does it not matter so long as it is built/sprayed to a good standard? Curios, that's all!! Also, do ummade/boxed cars really attract a higher value than a kit made but not used? Cheers!
