  4. Many Thnaks for the info. My Blazer arrived today, god they are a big truck! You don't realise until you see one in the flesh just how big they are! Need to look at the front n/s suspension. It if somehow 'leaning' upwards as if compressed towards the chassis. Spring very hard/stiff. Looking forward to running it. Body is superb, all original wth no breakages! Funny how you don't seem many Blazers' around these days. Does anyone know if they were produced in smaller numbers than the Hilux? Thanks, Andy
  5. Many thanks for the information. Is there a way of bettering the suspension or is it just best to leave it as it is? Never run an old 3-speed before so this is all new to me! I also remember reading somewhere that the tyres are the same as the Wild Willy tyres??? Still think it is nice to have a rare Blazer, most are converted to Hilux's. Andy
  6. Hi all, I have just purchased a Blazing Blazer. Never had one before. Question is, what batteries can i use in it? Do i have to find the old 'big square' battery that was originally used in the Blazer? I know, may be a dumb question but not sure! Thanks, Andy
  7. Hi, I have been looking for ages for a set of dampers for my XC chassis...no joy. Is there another Tamiya car that uses the same shockers / dampers that I can search under? Any advice would be much appreciated. Many Thanks. Andy

  15. Hi all, Due to the purchase of a classic 1:1 hot hatch, most of my cars are up for sale. I have listed some of the cars in my trades section. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades.asp?id=3371 It is alwyas awkward knowing what to ask as I don't want to take advantage of fellow members but at the same time I don't members to take advantage of me! Anyway, if you are intersted in any of my models please make ne an offer. I won't be offneded if they are low...I may just accept! Many Thanks. Andy.
  16. I am decided to sell the majority of my collection due to the purchase of a 1:1 car. Please see my trades for details. You can either PM me or text/ring: 07855.972799 if you have any questions. Some of my cars now added to the bay! Lots of Scalextric cars too. Any questions jst ask. Thanks. I now have many cars listed on the bay including: SAND SCORCHER 2 X JEEP WRANGLERS MINI MONTE CARLO F350 HIGH LIFT TB01 IMPREZA WILD ONE SAND ROVER Sorry, no trades. Offers invited. Any questions please e-mail or text/ring: 07855.972799 Many thanks.
  17. It's funny, but the Buggy Champ in the USA add above looks better without the camber!! Somehow the Sand Scorcher would not be a Sand Scorcher without the tilted rear wheels!
  18. Totally agree. Doesn't sit right? Maybe it can be raised up like the original on the torsion bars. Looks a bit toyish' this way. We'll get a better idea once we get to build it i guess......
  19. I think we all just have to be grateful that a re-release has happened. It pleases everyone in the sense that the original is still 'the original' and yet it allows a new generation to buy, build and race a car that many of us were fortunate to to do the first time round. Mr Tamiya has listened to our cries! Won't it be awesome to see these cars racing around again. I now look forward to seeing the new thread on the old 3-speed release!!!
  20. Thanks guys for your advices, really appreciated.
  21. Are these all the same uprights then?
  22. Thank you so much for all the information, greatly appreciated. I will know more once the car arrives. I have seen the alloy steering available so that sounds a good move. It will be interesting to see if the long arm set is fitted, this seems a worhwhile investment. I'll start looking on the bay for a set now!
  23. Hi all, I have just had an impulse buy on 'the bay' nad purchased a TB-01 rally car. I have read that they are cracking good cars to run so thought i would try one out. I have read that there is a long arm set you can buy for the car. Not sure what this does! I guess it increases the track but by how much? Is it worth buying or not? I have also seen alloy steering parts available, are these worth it. Just wondered what your thoughts on this chassis were? Should I have bought a TT-01 instead. Your comments would be appreciated!
  24. Hi all, I have a few XC chassis cars that come with the hideous blue front steering uprights. The same uprights on my XB Parero are black and luck sooo much better. I read somewhere the uprights are the same as those found on another model but can;t remember which one? Can anyone advise which model shares the same uprights but in black? Many thanks.
  25. Hi, Would be better if you could list prices. Thank you.
