Hi all, Due to my new interest in scale crawlers, I have decided to part with my beloved Sand Scorcher, FAV and Monte Carlo Mini. I also have other cars that I will list in the near future together with lots of new parts from older Tamiya cars. If you are looking for a part, or fancy making an offer on my cars please PM me. Details in my Trades. Thanks, Andy http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades.asp?id=3371

What 'news' is that then??!!

Integrale an all time favourite, but it doesn't stand as well in that photo as it does on the TT-01 chassis? Could be the picture I guess?
-
I have a set still in original packaging. PM me if interested, unless of course you do a deal with Kuatto! Regards.

Me too! I remeber going to Beatties in Notingham and seeing the old Tamiya videoa running on the t.v's! Alwys wanted the Ranger back in the day, ended up with the Sand Rover. Don't forget the blue Beatties bag with the Sand Scorcher on the side! I always remember the sales guy demonstrating the old Hilux and dropping it from a height to show how strong it was! Those were the days...memories euh!

No problem. Once completed i will probably post a For Sale on the Forum anyway. Many Thanks.

Anything is possible with Tamiya at the moment! Just look at the Buggy Champ (Rough Rider) re-release. And as everyone is thinking.....is the Sand Scorcher next??!!
-
Hi everyone, I have a spare XC chassis that needs only 4 shocks to complete it. Do i need to look out for XC shocks or is there another Tamiya car that has the same shocks? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. PS, I f anyone has 4 XC spare shocs let me know!!

Help Me Choose My Hilux 3speed Colour
CARRERA replied to TenzoR's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I sold mine, BIG MISTAKE!, and kept the F350 as the body sat lower. If i had kept it, i would make it look more old school not modern looking. Try some old '80's Toyota colours that would look well. Let us all know what you decide. -
Many thanks guys. The RC4WD chassis looks great abeit it pricey for me at the moment. I shall take the alternative route suggested. Thanks again!!!

Hi all, I have a F350 High-Lift that I am thinking of lowering. I think the Hilux High-Lift looks better lowered (like Wyoming's) so thought I would do the same however, what is the best method of lowering? Is it just a question of moving the plastic 'blocks' that sit on top of the axles/underthe leaf springs? Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Photos For Re-issue Rough Rider From Shizuoka Hobby Show 09
CARRERA replied to RA1028's topic in Re-Release Discussions
As Tamiya has decided to change the name to 'Buggy Champ' do you think they would name a further release 'Super Champ'? Are the names too similar? I wouldn't be surprised if hey do release the Super Champ howevr, give it a different name again to please the collectors of the original issue Super Champ. What do you think? -

CARRERA replied to CARRERA's topic in Re-Release Discussions
You're probably right there. The Sand Rover isn't as common as the Holiday Buggy but appears to be the more sort after buggy. Let's wait and see........... -

Crickey! Good looking line up. Looked up what the '73 Ford Bronco looks like...can't make my mind up? Odd looking or a great Amreican classic? Either way there will be some great looking builds out there. -
Very clever and innovative thinking. Can't wait to see the finished project. (Sound like a school report don't I!!)

What a 'Beautiful story'. Wish i could find my old Sand Rover and Sand Scorcher. Good luck with the restoration.

Ok, I have found that the length of drive shaft I need is the same as a Wild One drive shaft but without the hex type end. The Xc chassis uses the 'ball and pin' dive shaft. Does anyone know what drive shaft is the same length but without a hex type end? Thanks...
