Bought another buggy (hanging head as this is getting out of hand!!!!!, as its the 5th since Christmas) Today I bought a very tidy Lunchbox for display, last 3 weeks I have picked up a Madcap with a very odd shell and wheels to turn into my Saint Dragon (also picked up red shocks on here for the conversion a TBG shell is on the way) Madcap pristine shelf queen that I bought for WAY WAY more than I should have (but it did come with a set of Saint Dragon decals and almost un-used tires) This will be for display and let me use the Madcap I had bought & sorted out last year for display to be sold. A Terra Scorcher that someone thought was a Fire Dragon (no body but has the white rims that are so hard to find) and I have a Terra body to add to it. A Thundershot with a terrible body but rest in great nick that I can add a pucker body to. I am currently biting my nails to see if I get another NIB re-re that I want to complete my series of 4WD from Boomerang to Fire Dragon. Ends in about an hour!! This hobby is getting WAY more expensive with over half my collection breaking my £100 max a car...........

Hi I have a few bodies I have replaced for new TBG ones. If they are of any interest let me know please. packing and post is worth about £5 so make me an offer if they are of any use to you. All are original vintage. FireDragon, small tear just above front suspension into the front canopy, also rear cut outs for shock mounts are rough as are the rear body mount posts. Madcap, in black for main body with a silver black metal fleck wing (some of paint on wing is starting to flake off) Boomerang in a sort of orange/light red, rear wing is bent. some of decals starting to peel. Boomerang main body- no wing, or protective film Thundershot - odd colours badly done and no decals. Body is reasonable with only a tiny split starting in back corner, not yet bad enough to really notice. If any of them is of any use to you drop me a PM. Thanks, Andrew

Another Traxxas fan. I changed 3 of our families bashers from WT-01's to Stampedes (over inflated plastic pool toys) but they JUMP soooooo good on a BMX track. if your not after the Jumping and crashing that I need them to stand up to- then the Rustler or Bandit are great as well. I have not had any problems with ours.

LOL and NO, a lot on here collect other vintage brands (Kyosho seems to be very popular as I see threads on the new posts all the time) There is a NON Tamiya section. Jealous of the Astute, any pictures? I have been back into Tamiya for about a year and a half and its getting so out of hand. eBay every day.....TC forum check every day and WAY to much money in vintage Tamiya. but hey it makes us all smile and thats PRICELESS....right??

Gumtree Scam
Baddon replied to a topic in Off-Site sales plugs, tips & gossip - Including eBay, Gumtree etc.
I got caught out very early on in my buggy re interest coming up to Christmas. Spoke to the guy on the phone, sounded genuine enough. My mistake was to send the money friends and family....UNLESS you know them OR they have a reputation to protect (like on here with care) Always use goods and services and pay the fee yourself. Also when you send the money describe what your buying and attach a photo from the add. This means you have protection- PayPal are actually very good IF you have went goods and services. Now I am a lot more cautions. Try and get another photo that they could ONLY take if they have it. Ask for a photo of the package with you address on it once they have added the postage (this way they cant send to themselves or a mate therefore getting a signature...) -
I am assuming all are vintage and not re-re BigWig £80-120 depending on nr of interested parties. Blazing Star no real idea as no interest so have never watched one. Boomerang - non box art and missing decals...50 to 80 Grass Hopper 2, sorry another I dont follow Thundershot 80-100 esp if tires are in decent order and the A5 part is intact (the bit that holds the lower wishbones to the front gearbox is a weak point and comes on the A tree with All the gearbox parts. All estimates are eBay with post added for £10-12.

Where in the world are you? If UK I can give some guidance. BUT definitely don't sell as a job lot if your looking to get the most for them, sell individually on eBay. Also if you can wait a couple of months. Bad time of year to sell (good to buy though I have picked up 4 in last 3 weeks at much lower than rest of year prices)

What other hobbies do you enjoy?
Baddon replied to Scipunk's topic in Anything not RC related goes here
my other hobby is more a passion. I always fancied a trike so when I was about 30 got this, cant find a photo of it as I got it but lets just say I spent more upgrading it than I did buying it. Had it nearing 7 years and did a lot of work to it, new uprated engine, uprated gearbox, uprated front end, light bar, added a 4 speaker waterproof stereo, added top box and loads more I cant even remember any more. Example of some of the work is the front end. Both seen in photo below. But it was not the trike I really wanted. That was Rewaco RF1 but there were silly money..... So I stopped spending money on the black trike above and put some away. Then scoured Europe and eventually found this a RF1 with a 1100 motor on the far side of Germany.....Man this thing handles. Loved it, did 12K miles in 11 months. BUT it was sooo effortless to ride and such a capable chassis it just begged for more POWER. so back on the internet and less than a year later I am heading to Germany again to bring home this, my current trike. Had it for 6 years now. I love it and have done some interesting gigs with it. 3 weddings now, loads of charity work and sorry to say a funeral as well. The family know how much I am into my trikes and here was my 40th birthday cake I have even got the good lady in on it now, here is her first trike. An auto based on Scooter drive train. Problem was she like me liked it and wanted more power. Its not easy for her to ride my trike as we are such different heights. She cant reach peddles when they are set for me, and I cant change gear when set for her as my knees are round my dangly bits. So less than a year after we added Baby Blue to the family it was that this arrived home. Photo below was taken on its homeward 1st journey from its previous owner, do they all look happy??? So the family fleet as it were are In Blue a Rewaco RF1 ST3 1600 Ford Zetec mid engined 5 speed sports trike & In Yellow a Boom Muscle Family 4i with loads of upgrades and a Ford 1600 Duratech. This leaves us capable of taking all 3 kids with us, towing a trailer tent or anything up to 500kG each as both have towbars and generally enjoying the sun shine. -
found some more photos for you. stock tires compared to these also on our two other trucks
