  1. @TWINSET So the only way to post more pics is to delete others I have posted?
  2. Thundershot update:- Rebuilt the rear gearbox, added the drive shafts, arms uprights and suspension. Even put on the new wheels and tires that I got. Then stripped and started to clean the front gearbox.
  3. Drag files here to attach, or choose files... Max total size 0.02MB That Max Size limit 0.02MB
  4. My new wheels and tires fro my Thundershot & Terra Scorcher rebuild have arrived as did the sonic cleaner. Put both to good use already. Two sets of wheels & tires, same only one black one white.
  5. I used to send myself all my pics on WhatsApp, download them to my C drive and then they were small enough a file to upload to here. As of last night they wont. Also last night the limit was 50, not its 20. If this is the case anyone got a clever way to upload pictures as my build thread with no pics is ......pants!
  6. rebuilt back end and added the new wheels that arrived today as you do to see how they looked and also stripped the front end and started to clean it. NOTE - parts in ultrasonic cleaner were finished with an old tooth brush and some elbow grease.
  7. @Peter_Bit SLOWELY cleans while I do other bits, Its no wonder solution but it does help.
  8. look what arrived today, so started the rear gearbox. My sub drive and the side of the box it screwed into both had v small splits so replaced them with some old ones and while I was at it had to match up the other side of the box so all three are new. Also replaced all the bearings and found I had a thrust bearing but in the wrong place so put in the right place. Also fitted a barely used sport tuned motor while I was at it.........
  9. For work and a company vehicle. Ford Ranger Wildtrac in V rare Manual. But my own set of wheels is a trike. Rewaco RF1 ST1600 with a Ford Zetec 1600 mid mounted engine......man can this boogie!!
  10. well I have a Silvercrest one ordered so see how it helps.
  11. how about the official Tamiya set, now with red handles and £10 less than I got mine for......obviously the red plastic is cheaper to make than the blue.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-Craft-Tools-74023-Builders-8-Screwdriver-Set-8-Pcs-NIP/263289627161?epid=6006510379&hash=item3d4d48e219:g:h~kAAOSwUMxZ6LIy
  12. I hope this works, Its the Thrust washer and part E1. The bearing fits in where E1 is BUT not if you leave the thrust washer in place, its quite thick. Taking both out they are equal to a stock ballrace.
  13. Thanks appreciate the heads up.
  14. Question:- The stub axle in the rear transfer box had a washer on top of this into a bushing in the removed box? Can this be replaced with a stock bearing? It does fit BUT only if you remove the washer as the bushing is thin. I knew the chassis was broke at the front on the prop side but turns out there were also 2 splits in the rear on the bottom gearbox mountings as well. I am going to do a total rebuild and clean although both boxes seem to be smooth enough and as the transfer one shows the gears are in good condition.
  15. So parts have arrived and started to strip it down. Packet of baby wipes to help with cleaning......has to be a better way?? Shell cleaned up , now to remove all the stickers that I added as a early teenager.......oppps
  16. OK, after getting the family all up and running with WT-01's and Madbulls its time to start the hard work, restoring my old Thundershot. This is it as it was lifted out of its box after over 25 years. SAD, covered in stuck on sawdust, with bits missing, 2 flatspotted tires and some of em starting to crack. Edit:- Have now started work on a Terra Scorcher I picked up, looked ok but knew there was something not right with drive train as it was tooo tight and the chassis also had a split at the front gearbox top mounting hole on the Prop shaft side.
  17. ok, so I have my old Thundershot and started work on it today. To say its gunked up is an understatement. In the roofspace it has been subject to a fine layer of sawdust from the woodshed next door and this has stuck to ALL surfaces. So will an ultrasonic cleaner help and if so which one (UK based) for value for money. Biggest item I need to get in is a gearbox.
  18. With the long travel butter smooth shocks and longer aftermarket towers I find the rear is very soft, its squats notably under power and on full lock will un-weight the inner tire and spin it causing the truck to spin. It does this on my sons as well and its got the stock short pogo's. Mine is more derivable and less twitchy.
  19. That truck looks somewhat different now.....I put the shocks and towers on my one and the body went to another TC member and was changed to the photo below. All three of our trucks run on these tires. Great job. They are a great job for stability when messing about. See the last photos. No idea how many times we hit the ramp, half on off etc and only one roll all session.
  20. TBG are the ones who do the bodies, they have all four. http://stores.ebay.com/TEAM-BLUEGROOVE?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
  21. Kamtec, looked on their site and didn't see the ones I was after. Was hoping for the Thundershot car set (Dragon, Fire Dragon, Terra Scorcher)
  22. Who else sells shells for Tamiya Buggies. Also decals for same. Thanks in advance.
  23. Very good, thank you. Apparently I am the best........ Not so sure she is as excited as the rest of us about actually using it though!!
  24. A bit of body work. Good ladies Vintage Monster Ambulance is finished. I got a decal sheet for a Mk2 Escort Mexico which the window, number plates and door handles came off. As is our little ladies Madbull. All the red on both shells are hand cut from a sheet of plastic. All other colours other than the base colour are marker pen.
