No in a word. The top force is way higher up the evolutionary ladder. The Manta ray is a stock Tamiya 4WD buggy (dare I say toy or entry level) The top Force has carbon and alloy parts and is more a super hopped up version. Just need to see the shocks to see the difference but take the body off and you really see the difference.

The independent shocks were from the Supershot. I have them on my Boomerang too.

I am a reborn newbie (or was 4 months ago) bit like a re-re newbie.

That looks VERY smart.

As I only got the 2 Madbulls this week I am not sure how the two littles will fare, reckon the 7 YOB will be grand as he is quite determined and patient. The little lady.......its really so she is not left out and know I will end up driving two buggies one with each hand, I can drive one 1 handed as I often hold her with other but not sure how I will fare with controller in my left......lol. Agh sure its a bit of craic!!

New ABS A-Team style van -cutting,painting and fitting to....?
Baddon replied to Jason1145's topic in General discussions
have them fitted to mine with some nice piggy back shocks. Bought them from another TC member on a truck so not sure of the source. they are nice, BUT the holes for mounting to the top of the towers are not usable except in the outer most position as the shock head will foul the tower. Unless you use a spacer to take shock off the same line, but this would add a lot of stress to the tower and the screw/bolt. -
I ordered 2 sets as well so mine may be here soon then, yooooo

would break and clutch cleaner (cleans most anything) do any damage to the plastic?

NOPE, this is the look I am after, hence I am waiting on some red vinyl sheets. I will cut the strips and crosses from it. Also some colour sharpies on way to add details to shell as well. The shell is a gloss slight off white which is about right for the period (who said I was to lazy or tight to get more paint....), besides one it gets scratched it will be less noticeable.

mmmmmm. went to extend the body mounts on my WT-01 to find the post extenders are for a larger diameter post........ So bracing required, some Gorilla Glue and some more bracing. Cut some bracing from a celebrations plastic tin. added the gorilla glue and this is what I ended up with after posts trimmed to height I need them for wheels to clear the body.....just. Just need the red sticky back plastic to make the red crosses.... & the sharpie colour markers to add front lights, ford badge (well a blue oval) and it may actually look like what I and of course the good lady want.

Painting my Lunchbox
Baddon replied to junglemonkey's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
I did my little ladies Madbull in pink in about 30 min last night. Paintbooth is a cardboard box on top of kitched hob with extractor running full chat. HATE smell of paint. Good ladies hairdryer on low heat and fan to gently warm body. 1 light coat and 2 medium coats with plenty of hairdryer in between. less than 5 minutes between coats. then turned over for a light coat on inside. Got 2 small runs but all done in half hour and once I stick some logos or add some sharpie colour highlights you wont see anything but a baby pink Madbull when its running. She was so pleased with it..... Attached is before and after and what state a runner gets into in short time (its her brothers - if much more paint comes off will strip and redo in red as it only arrived yesterday with me from its previous owner) -

Found it but not as easy to use as I recall. Still its pucker stuff rather than brake clearer.... -
Removing & Stripping Paint From Lexan Polycarbonate

Sorry guys, to be honest its not the video i was looking for, Tamiya do a product I had seen in another utube video from a guy in UK with a MASSIVE collection from the first 100 buggies that shows him stripping a polycarb shell. It was only available from Japan but uses very little of the product and is easier to use. I will have another search and see if I can find the correct video. -

' Lads Madbull arrived, ESC was fitted with a Traxxas adaptor, so had to change ESC, put in a stock motor rather than the hot one it came with added a new set of radio gear and all so the little guy could get it out for a trial, he is one very happy lad. Little ladies madbull - full set of ball-races fitted, changed the steering servo, Fitted the body, painted the body pink. Now just to fit a stock motor, ESC and radio gear that I dont yet have.......( all ordered as is a Tamiya plug for the ESC) Also waiting on colour markers so I can add details to Mums ambulance and will do same to little ladies Madbull. That means when we have buggies out there will be 5 of us.......OMG what are we (I of course mean me) like??
