  2. lol, 3 months ahead and I have 5 runners, 4 shelfers and 2 projects. (there are 5 in the family and the runners are 1 for each!!!! honest)
  3. Been busy with a sharpie adding detail to the good ladies old school monster ambulance shell for her Wt-01 truck
  4. The Bigwig is heavily discounted now, its about the price of a Boomerang. If your in Uk about £155 without ESC at TimeTunnel
  5. Belfast now has no RC model shops. There is one in Coleraine but he is not a big Tamiya supporter so its online only for me. Neil at Time Tunnel has become my local model shop and he is in Scotland. He is only an email away and has been more than competitive. He is local to anyone in his area and obviously survives with a large online presence. Same with local cycle shops (my local one does about 5 times more online business than walk ins.
  6. ordered some of the red and as it was buy one get one free I added a blue as well. Cheers for links. Have had the black sharpie and some decals on now. Also ordered a set of colour sharpies to do lights and indicators as well as front blue badge. My art skills are sooooooooo bad. its ok in the distance oor moving. Just up close you can see my wavy hand in the edges.....Good lady let me do this as she reckons its better than she can manage. Also added the pic I copied as best I could. Decals are for a Ford Mk1 escourt Mexico. Hence I have had to do most of front myself. Need orange for indicators, Blue for the badge in the grill and will do lights silver. Add the red crosses to back, sides and roof, extend body posts and then mount and see what it looks like. Bet it makes not only the good lady smile but most who see it tearing about with a couple of pickups and 2 madbulls!
  7. Yes. I cut out the bed with a sharp knife and after painting this silver removed the rest of the truck.
  8. was thinking that but where do I get a sheet of red vinyl?
  9. got a sheet of decals for a MK 1 Escort Mexico so we can add some lights, windows to liven it up a bit. I have not decided how I am going to add the red crosses to make it an ambulance......watch this space. I have a can of red paint coming BUT the masking will need to be sooooooooo good. And my art skills leave a lot to be desired!
  10. Climbs in seconds to over 12V then drops to 8.4V
  11. Or a collective order if others were also looking something. easier to split postage when local.
  12. They will be shelf runners, not looking for pristine, compared to my original Thundershot they will look like new pins. The Firedragon came up ok with a baby wipe and a model knife to remove all the lifting edges on the decals. Dash 1, no its not on my to do list. With 5 runners in the family, one each as well as the TS range and my old Pumpkin and Boomerang I think thats not a bad start from 3 months ago when it was not in my head at all. The chassis its on-another Ebay find. It needs a Chassis as its got more holes than I do..(got it) a Prop shaft (on order) and a front bumper, **** as I missed it needed one. Not sure if it started as a Fire Dragon and had the upper suspension arms up-rated ( there is another mangled front gearbox with them on) to adjustable as the other Terra Scorcher parts (front UJ and rear body mount) are not there. At least it been ballraced. That will give me three of the four to add to my Thundershot - due for a total rebuild and clean and a chassis replacement and a Gumtree find of a Terra Scorcher in really decent running condition, just needs a Chassis and A5 Ta for link. OUCH on price esp as its no decals.
  13. I have just got an old 3300NiMH with a 2nd hand kit, its not that old as its from a Madbull which came with a Tamiys ESC, so how do i go about waking up this very dead battery as it wont take more than 110mAh. I have ran it through multiple discharge charge cycles, I have tried charging at 0.5A and 3.5A and still no better. Is it destined for the bin? I do have a decent charger I can vary the charge rate and see the charge progress in mAh, voltage of battery etc.
  14. Firedragon body in sad state, some old but decent thundershot wheels and tires and 2 Thundershot chassis (another on backorder) Just need a Thunderdragon to complete my 4WD from this set, know anyone? In all seriousness can you get an after market Thunder dragon body and decals? if so anyone got a link?
  15. LOL, I just bought 2 Madbulls on auction. One is a great runner with loads hop ups the less expensive one needs a body. Just need radio gear. The problem is the youngest (3 year old girl) is now showing an interest in joining in as well...... 3 WT-01's and 2 Madbulls ( I only have 4 batteries so need to start working on that and need another set of radio gear as well) - all now ordered
  16. A very messy Madbull which someone had cut the receiver out of so the stearing servo and on off switch have no plugs to reconnect to a new servo.....grrrrr. The Madbull itself is in reasonable condition and I have it totally stripped already waiting on its bearing set coming (and a body, and radio gear...)
  17. I just ordered 2 sets of wheels and tires, one white one black, 2 sets hex adaptors and a set of body R clips. All for the price of 4 thundershot tires. Cheers for the link gents.
  18. Like the look of some of these and a fraction of what modelsport were charging. Will these also do for the like of the Boomerang and Thundershot with hex wheel adapters?
  19. I and my family are certainly enjoying 3 of your very well priced sell offs. Thanks.
  20. lol, OH NO I DONT.
  21. no one will see the bleeds once its moving.
  22. Lol, I'm not in that type of trouble as the good lady is exactly that, also dont forget one of the trucks is her's - the trouble I am in is the Tamiya BUG trouble.
  23. getting out of hand is what it is! I need a thunder dragon to complete the set! I have 3 new chassis I am waiting on as they all are broken at the front gearbox mountings. I can only assume that Ebay is easier to buy off as its a tight month for a lot of people, still missed a CVA shock lot (10 or so) and a load of Bigwig parts (had 4 sets of vintage tires and wheels ) 2 older 4Wd versions of WT-01 went for sensible money and I was only punting if they went for poor money! Anyone interested in swapping a ThunderDragon for a Neo Scorcher?
  24. As you all know this HOBBY.....can take over your house, your spare time, the time you have for kids, other hobbies etc etc. Well after a massive splurge on EBAY and others over the last month my car collection has went from 3 vintage (all my own from way back when) sitting in my sons room to Boomerang (1 of the 3) Thundershot (1 of the 3) and parts ordered before I do a nut and bolt clean and restore) Neo Scorcher - first car i got that pulled me back into the hobby - has a lot to answer for and of absolutely no interest to me anymore. I have pinched the brushless setup out of it for my WT-01 and the radio ear is in my good ladies WT-01 and its original motor is in the Pumpkin (Torque Tuned) and its original ESC is in my sons WT-01 Terra Scorcher - parts ordered to restore Fire Dragon - parts ordered for a rebuild (its not even arrived as yet and I have ordered the parts I know I need!!!!) picked up in 3 different auctions 3 WT-01's, these are the main bashers for My, my good lady and the eldest lad. 2 Madbulls - not here yet as bought as weekend -Bashers for Nr 2 a 7y old boy & Nr 3 a 4y old girl kids (he has been using my Midnight Pumpkin and wrecking it and am woried about him wrecking his mums WT-01) the 2nd Madbull has a new shell ordered and some pink paint as its for our 4 year old little girl as I dont want her left out and the one I bought has no shell) I have been trying to pick one up at humble money for months but they always went for strong money - both auctions ended within a few minutes of each other and the one I really wanted was up second, so put a sensible bid on first and watched second, even once I knew I had first the second still appealed as it let me sort out both kids. AND finally my Midnight pumpkin (last of the three originals) and much the worse for having a 7 year old learn using it. WELL, I needed a sensible area to work that does not involve we outside in freezing garage, not involve me taking over the dinner table as I have been of late and leaving bits of kits, boxes and parts in about 4 different rooms in the house. So looking around I have an upper landing that has a few book cases and a desk......... Well its now my works area. Room to display (sort of as they are at least visable) about 10 or so runners as well as work on em. Will post a photo later when I next use it. Needs more lights as main hall light is behind me and the desk needs some of the computer display bits removed to give me more free space. I am happy, kids think its great and the good lady just smiled, shook her head and walked off laughing. I call that a success! So just a thanks to all on here for relighting the passion, fire, obsession and passing on your old kits, and of course the knowledge and help you have given along the way. I am in so much trouble, can you tell?
