@StrokerBoy You should have, I certainly would have. May be of no use to me as I dont have or intent to have a FOX but it may be a finisher for someones Fox.

question What motor should I use to upgrade my Grasshopper?
Baddon replied to WillB888's topic in Re-Release Discussions
If your new to RC then dont go mad, better to get your control good on a "normal" motor possibly a stock 540 Silvercan. They are cheep as chips new and then you can think about upgrading later. If you go to fast early on it gets expensive when you hit stuff and you may loose interest, better to get used to it at a good pace then up the speed as your control improves. -
If you look at the photos the colour is definitely more flat or matt then that sprayed from inside.

Did the bed of a truck recently as it was easy to use the overspray mask to mask of the rest of the shell and it cant get scratched as its protected by the raised bed edges. Its the same silver on the bumper painted inside and the bed painted outside. I then painted the roll over hoop from black to silver as well (not such a good idea as it scratches real easy. All painted with Tamiya Silver Polycarb spray.

fitted new shocks and shock towers to my WT01, took out the Sportstuned brushed motor and ESC and changed to a 3500 brushless setup and took out to see how it ran.. Massive leap in speed and so smooth on good shocks BUT way to soft, need stiffer springs as even when preloaded to max it to soft. Set up mu good ladies WT-01 fitting a Silvercan (just to get her started) with a Hobywing ESC and got her out for a play with it. Bought a Firedragon abused body, 3 Thundershot wheels and tires (one of mine is *******ed) Bought 4 2300 NiMh batteries and 2 Madbulls. Just need more radio gear now and a Madbull body. Sold a Blackfoot Extreme body and have it boxed ready to send out on Monday Need to get a replacement body for the 3rd WT-01

lol, no laughing, the good lady is a St John volenteer and would love an ambulace!!! but to be honest I just want something cheep. I have paint left so its its bare fine or its been on something else. I have Shoe Goo and plenty of offcuts so can fill in body mount holes in wrong place. As I say will consider anything. If I really really like it I will kindly donate her my BD2 shell and use it myself....lol The Blackfoot Extreme shell is on its way to a new keeper as its would have got destroyed.

Wide G6-01 Kong Head
Baddon replied to Andyrt200's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
I really like the shell you have on it. I take it you have lost the 4 wheel steer (or is that an option) -
note on last photo the overhead lights are reflecting on bonnet, its not a mark.

I am after a basher shell to fit a WT-01. In some sort of reasonable condition (it will likely get trashed so its not needing to be to good) I do want a Lexon rather than a ABS shell. UK based and anything considered. If you see something on Ebay that may suit please post me the link. Thanks in advance.

Now SOLD I have a Blackfoot Extreme shell for sale in gloss black. Lots of photos, no scrapes at all, but some chips on the chrome. Only stickers are front lights, front grill, roll bar spots and rear number plate. There is Shoe Goo on the inside of the shell at the bonnet hump but I cant see why as there is no evidence of a crack or split the outside of the shell. I got this on what I will be running for a basher for a learner (good lady and youngest son) so it will get destroyed and I am told its worth £30. I will get a polycarb shell to run on it instead so anyone interested in this body as is. Will post further for the extra cost.

anyone use these and are they any good (its the make rather than the voltage) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-4V-3300mAh-SC-battery-pack-Radio-Control-Car-3x2-1/140462283436?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

loads of videos on UTube about shell prep.

Gents, can you easily modify these trucks for 8.4V as we are intending to have 3 of them awy in caravan LiPos are not an ideal option.
-
At a guess you have the steering servo plugged into the throttle position on the receiver.

What do you wish you had known before you began this hobby
Baddon replied to Ronnyhotdog's topic in General discussions
On any Lexan body the body mounts will be first to tear, so get an old cola bottle or similar and drill a hole in an enlarge piece, put this on before the body and this will help maintain the shell. If its a real basher then add a second on top of the body as well, -
Our seven year old is taking a mega interest in our fleet of WT-01 (3, me, eldest and good lady) so far he has managed to break my old Pumpkins steering & body. His little RTR buggy wont even climb the jumps at the local BMX park which has lead to some frustration when we are all out. SO he has offered his Christmas money to get something more like the rest of us. I reckon a Madbull would be ideal. Does anyone have one that is abused but in decent running order? Will need a set of radio gear ideally with ESC and ballraced. (can do all my self but easier if I don't have to). Daddy will of course have to add to his Christmas money (£35) to get this. As its a basher not bothered about box, instructions, decals, body condition(£10 new I think) I am UK based so looking a UK based buggy. Anything out there? Thanks in advance from Kyan our 7 year old.

It took me longer to do the two shells on the MT-01's BDII than to build the kits. HATED doing the decals and was gobsmacked that they were not pre-cut as the small sheet for the chassis ones (on off, beware hot) were all precut. IF you don't get the cutting really good then the decals start to come off. When you get a 2nd hand car the one thing that will make it look grubby is the decals flaking off where the edges, bends, folds are starting to peel, a lot of this is down to bad cutting. Which can be removed by die cutting em. I would certainly pay a few pounds more for die cut sheets.
