I collected my first modern Tamiya of its previous owner, just need batteries to arrive. £90 with a brushless motor that cost previous owner £80, I have two 3300NiMh and a set of ballraces ordered...Postie, Postie don't delay!!
-
You know I though about that afterwards, only good point is that I have a Midnight Pumpkin, so only need two rear rims.
-
how are you keeping the nose down? My Midnight Pumpkin spends its entire run on its rear wheels and wheelie bar
-
Would the wheels and tires from a Midnight Pumpkin on a TT-02B do similar?? Looking something with more ground clearance than the TT-02B stock.
-
these of any value? Update: With 33 views and no replies I assume that means no. Just before I skipped them was wondering if someone wanted them for a display model to make more RTR looking. Happy to send for cost of postage & packing as if they have no value just like to see em used as not a fan of adding to black bins.

I was talking to the model shop I got my ballraces for the Neo Scorcher and the Bush Devil from and was on phone for about 20 minutes getting info on all I need. He reckons with the mini Z having an inbuild ESC and receiver for such small motors that they wont work. Better bet would be the old BEAT 202 I have from way back when. he says will only know when I try to plug the receiver and steering servo into the newer ESC's if they work great if not then a good basic kit with receiver and steering servo is £35

Hello, Just bought a re-re with ESC (Bush Devil 2) and need to know can I use my wheel controllers from Kyosho Mini Z cars? they have ESC as well but will need to get a steering servo. I have two old sets of Beat 202 sticks, can I use the servos from them? Prefer the boys to learn on wheels if possible. If I need just servos whats best value to get (not looking for best, just something sensible priced with reasonable quality) Thanks in advance.

Just bought a boxed new Bush Devil 2 with ESC from another forum member. Looking forward to the build and will likely give to one of the lads as a Xmas box after he builds it.....lol. So will need to check to see if my old Beat 202 Radio gear is all in working order. Have seen the Mad Bull and liked the look of it. Good ground clearance and simple but effective looking kit with a good looking body. will keep eye on Gumtree in N.Ireland for one and that would be all three of us sorted with out having to revive the older kits. If I go that way there will be an original Thunderhot and Midnight Pumpkin for sale.....well bashed but with boxes. Think I will keep the Boomerang that started it all for me about 30 odd years ago though.- 29 replies

To be honest I reckon he did some work on it back then to keep it running, I had spares which went with it as well as original Acoms radio gear. All it needs he reckons is a Motor and I have a spare one anyways.

Is this worth anything?
Baddon replied to Baddon's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Thanks guys, will tidy up and see what I can get. With sale of some other older but NOT classic stuff may be able to get the boys interested for no real money. -
Messaged a mate who I used to go buggy racing with at school (about 25-30 years ago) turns out I lent him my original boomerang and he still has it, dropping it up but sent me this photo.

looks don't bother me in slightest as you will see if you look at my buggies, modded and NOT in a pretty or sympathetic way, just get the job done. Any links for the CC01 wheels and tires? I assume the hex adaptors you mention are same as is on the Neo Scorcher? Was also wondering about increasing diameter of the Neo Scorchers rims/tires to increase ground clearance, again any recommends as to what would be a good way to go. I can just run a smaller pinion to compensate for the taller gearing the bigger wheels will cause.- 29 replies

My issue is our house is surrounded by gravel, so need something that has a bit of wear and bite, hence loved the oval blocks on the Boomerang, put em on the Thundershot till they fell apart. Now the thundershot tires are also shot. Whats my least expensive way to get it up and running, ideally with rims and tires? I have just bought a Neo Scorcher (yet to collect it but not long now) and will likely have same issue there. so same question. I will more than likely (if its expensive to get my Thundershot up and running again) try to find another Gumtree local (N.Ireland) as can go look and pick up. Due to the gravel need a 4WD with some ground clearance. Any other buggies a good choice? esp for a learner (my eldest) and something indestructible fro my youngest (was considering letting him use Midnight pumpkin if I go back to stock motor)- 29 replies

Flip I was thinking as not had engine running in so long that it would be for parts only and therefore not worth a lot. May tidy it up and put it up to see what happens. never really use Ebay to sell before, whats best way? Straight unreserved auction, with a buy it now or with a reserve? -
looks very smart, well done

This is my little used Traxxas T-Maxx. I loved the idea of the longer run time of Nitro but the reality was I was never very good as getting it to start or run properly so it did not see a lot of use. Its about 15 years old. I still have the box in good condition, the controler, EZ start starter, a few spares and its got a front roll bar added (cant recall if it was ballraced from box or if I added them but its definatly ballraced now.) I also have a spare pickup shell in near new condition. Painted with only one light spray coat of black so its still slightly transparent allowing you to see the workings underneath. I can add more photos if wanted of anything. It was kept as a shelf display in my sons room so stored inside just a bit dusty. Box still in good condition as also kept inside. I am near Belfast, N.Ireland

Thanks Wooders28. Can I use them with a converter of some sort as I need new rubber on my Thundershot and if I can get rims at same time for a decent price that gives me more choice for cheaper boots why not? I have as you can see for the photos both Thundershot and Boomerang Rims.- 29 replies

here are my two old bashers. They have been sat for over 15 years in garage roofspace. Going to revive for my sons (and me of course) I have also just bought a running Neo Scorcher. Pics are as I found em with no cleaning. Thundershot has my own front twin shock conversion and a second bumper of I think a Pumpkin, its ballraced and the tires are totally shot, one is degraded completly. Pumpkin has movable body mounts as I have an old tatty Blackfoot original shell that I also use. The motor is a 550 (not sure of history of this or where i got it but its in there and its a nutter wheelie machine. Bought just as who is not a fan of pulling wheelies? Also ballraced.

sorry followed the first link and had a fit, only just realised you posted the links for the 2nd option. Maybe have to find another TT-02B for my son......or my good lady. For their Christmas boxes don't you know! Would love to build one from scratch- 29 replies
