I buy and sell on Ebay almost on a daily basis. I would say clean the cars as best as possible, and take good pictures outside under full daylight. I tend to get better sales by including radio gear I have laying around to try to make the model fully RTR. This is especially true with a Tamiya sub $200 kit if it were new, your only going to get around 1/2 of what a new kit costs anyway, so anything extra will help out. People tend to buy these RTR's for there kids, or just want another car to restore themselves, and like the idea of older radio gear. Race kits such as TRF's with all the bells and whistles tend to do better without electonics. Just be honest in the ad too.
Any changes you would advise on this add?

here are what 55mm shocks look like, so I reckon yours are too long unless we change shock towers as well.
-
Listed elsewhere as 55mm -will this be the distance from top to bottom of spring rather than the 90mm from eye to eye you have measured?
-
they list the hop up part as Low Friction aluminium dampers part nr 53155
So still dont know the size of them.....anyone out there with one of these help please?

Not sure myself, but I they probably will. If you have a truck to measure the shocks are 90mm from eye to eye so see if they are similar.
it hidden away for kids Christmas present.... but I downloaded the instructions will look up and see if they tell me

Would the shocks fit a Bush Devil 2 (Blackfoot3, Mudblaster 2 etc) not sure what size you need for it? if so what you looking for a pair or all 4 if they suit?

Just spent most of the day reading the first link I posted properly going into all the sub links on all the Buggy models. includes numerous rebuild threads, photos and videos I have square eyes but was so interesting.
-
this was the one I read
http://www.blackholesun.fr/en/40-en/tamiya/kits/2-58000-series-kits
but looking again have also found this.
http://www.thercracer.com/2013/08/tamiya-80s-buggy-history-and-box-art.html
Any other links as I am sure others would be interested in a potted history, especially if its with pictures or kit reviews?

Anyone know a link to a decent history? I did find and read one but wondered if there are others out there. This was very interesting as it detailed the kits available when I was involved ( Boomerang, Thundershot & Pumpkin)
However I would love to read on about what the evolutions were with pics & reviews of the kits from then till now.
Have just got reintroduced to the hobby as my boys (12 & 6) were starting to use my Mini Z kits that i both raced and bashed about 10-15 years ago. It pulled on my grey matter enough to look out my old kits and as none are RTR I have a look on gumtree and picked up a Neo Scorcher that just needed batteries.
Any links? May be worth locking a topic showing the links if they are good for new returners like me?
Thanks in advance

Here is my classic Traxxas T Max PRO .15It has some hop ups and spares and original box.Has original radio gear, EZ starter, fuel bottle and some spares as seen in photosBox in good condition (corners some sign of wear) with original polystyrene to hold truck in placeTruck in used condition but all sound with no known damageTires good, all plastic parts good, smooth diffs, bearings and suspension. I added a front anti roll bar that leaves front end lower which stops truck rolling when your at full speed.Engine or radio not checked hence the for Spares or Repair (I suspect engine will not run as its not turned over in over 10 years and all my Fuel will be off) It was however emptied after each run and after run oil used.Spare body and some part bags as photo. Spare body is a Hummer painted in black which as it only got one cost is translucent so you can just see through it. Minimal stickers added. It has some minimal splits on rear bed at corners but still great looking shell. The original decal sheet from Traxxas still with it and has lots of unused stickers (not in mint condition as curled up)The batteries & fast charger will not go in sale (as they wont hold charge and weigh a lot) IF winner wants the charger contact me and will post for cost of postage.Paypal only, will package and post within 4 working days of receiving paypal.Postage to UK and Ireland only includedStarting at £20 plus £30 postage, buy it now £120. My boys did that in my folks garage. Used the flower pots to mark a bit of a course.
Then decided it was more fun seeing how many pots they could crush with their cars!
We decided to see if we could hit every one in a single lap and also how far we could push them......boys could not put em back quicker than I could knock them away, they were both knackered by the end of it....lol
-
Took the Neo Scorcher out for a bash on an all weather hockey pitch, run two new batteries through it (still on 1st and 2nd cycle) so did not last tooooo long.
Collected about half a bucket of gravel and recalled while its fun you need markers to set some sort of course.
After lunch headed over to my folks with acres of lovely tarmac and after a quick hoke in his garage, discovered 100's of empty flower pots, found some nice small ones that are perfect for marking a course, 1 battery lasted near 45 min as myself and both lads taking turns where not using anywhere near full power to get round course.
Eldest is starting to hint that he wants one for Christmas.....lol

Charged my new batteries, Put the new Ballraces into the pre loved Neo Scorcher I collected yesterday and took it for a blast..
OMG, son was gob smacked about how it went and wants one as well just wants one with bigger tires, reckon he will be stoked when he finds out he has a Bush Devil 2 under the tree.... he helped me fit the ballraces to my Neo Scorcher and has always loved technic lego so reckon I will not get to actually build his Bush Devil as he will want to do it himself.....BOOOOO
Looking forward to getting a proper bashing session tomorrow.

my lunchbox tires are badly perished AND they dont fit on the Buggy I was after them for,
So thanks for the help but need to change my plans for the tt-02B.
-
Got my Batteries today so was able to charge em up and get the new to me Neo Scorcher working.
I was very good and ballraced it first though and have to say it so much faster than I remember the buggies of old. It is a brushless setup and the duration of the new batteries lasted longer than my ability to withstand the cold.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oh an my sons Christmas box arrived (Bush Devil 2) he so loves my old second hand Neo Scorcher just reckons its a pity it wont run on the grass.....lol

One thing to note: is your charger compatible with NiMH?
Thanks for your reply,
In answer to your question above, Yes, says so on the charger
Its an Origin Radient, NiCd & NiMH AC/DC 4A Peak Detection Charger. Clearly states on it NO LIPO though.
-
Just got 2 new NiMh 3300 packs, been out of the hobby for over 20 years, so please excuse the newbie question.
The charger I have has options to charge at .05A, 1A, 2A, 3A or 4A.
What is best for life of battery (is there something better for its start of life ?)
ie is it better to slow or fast charge, esp from new or ever so many cycles?
What will expected charge time be on each rate (is there a calc I can do to know so if I have a limited time I will use a certain rate rather than best for battery life) ?
I did search back about 4 pages before posting this as I am sure it has been asked before, so apologies if its rehashing an existing question.

Advice about preparing cars for sale

Wish I read all this about a week ago. Just sold my T Maxx for £26.....ouch. Oh well someone has a bargain.
I only give it a rough clean, put the postage tooo high and used an auction.
I have also been bidding on 3 diff cars at different stages and stopped as they just went above what I reckon they are worth to me.
Was looking for a Madbull and one just finished this evening with another tomorrow. One had a spare set of wheels to make it back to a buggy as well as an ESP and radio gear. I stopped at 54 but it was still rising last I looked, up to over 75 with 7 minutes to go.
Finished at just over £102......Whats that all about then? thats over NIB with an ESP.
I also was bidding on a Super Saber with broken rear suspension but rest of car looked ok and I need a set of wheels and tires so bid up to £24 and it sold at 25.....argh.
Is there any rules you guys on here have about bidding against each other? (We in our trike club do but that is REAL big money we are playing with.
