Did you wet the decals in soapy water before putting them on ?

they go on perfect then .

you can go over them with hair dryer then if you like and push any water out

Hi mate no just peeled off and put straight on, I remember soaking decals for airfix when i was a kid but these were just sticky back, didn't know i could soak them.

My boys pretty excited so i expect there will be others to build along the way.

I love that blue & the stickers on the wing. Tamiya PS 59?

Hi mate the colour is PS-16, to be honest the colour selection in the shop wasn't a lot and my boy liked the metallic blue so we just went with it.

  3. Just finished building my boys Hornet, was straight forward enough apart from fixing the tail fin as it covered where the clips go that hold the body on, i put some small spacers on to lift it slightly.

He decided he wanted it blue instead of black, and we kind of did our own thing with the stickers.

  4. Apologies, just reading through my first post and having looked on the net it seems that the f 150 Ranger that i had as a kid was in fact made by Tamiya.

Can these still be bought today or are they now collectors, i remember giving it away to a younger family member as i got older... Wish id kept it now :(

  5. Morning all, Complete novice here.

When i was a kid i remember my brother handing down a RC car to me, I recall it being a Ford F150 Ranger (not Tamiya) I have fond memories having hours of fun.

The main reason ive joined the forum is that ive just purchased a Hornet for my boy (and me if im honest) for Christmas, so will be wanting to pick a few brains on building it and maybe some future tips if he decides he likes it.

    Thanks all.
