  2. Hi i use ebay as there always seem to be decent bearing sets on there for all chassis types. Ive just bought some rubber shieled bearings off ebay user id toys forbig boys for the cc01 havent installed them yet but they look right on. Good luck with your search Ryan
  3. I didnt get back into it until i had a kid and a house and found one at car boot and away i went. Brought it all back. I suppose the light was always there just needed some tinder to start a raging inferno [] Now i cant stop there in my wardrobe,in my shed, under the bed even on top of my sons cupboard . My son is 6 and as expected is getting right into rc offroading he really wants a wild willy 2 as i built a tamiya willys war jeep with him. Well thats my 10 pennys worth. I will be here as long as my battery pack keeps running!
  4. Ive conerted a tiny 6ft by 4 ft into a hobby workshop. I just hang up an old sheet to seperate my tools and bits and bobs so they dont get covered in overspray then spray away. Got power in there so light and heat is no probs.
  5. Dont worry bout it. I was delighted to see my first few models go on there after just looking at others models. I like to see a wide range on the home page and i always click the more button just in case i missed any that would interest me. If theres no one uploading pics to tc then whats the point in your £15 or tc even being created. Welcome to the club and beleave me these guys will look after you []
  6. Im shaking already. Wife will be pleased[] but the boy will be gutted as he plays the game every saturday evening. Ill have to phone the TCA (tamiyaclub annimous) for advice. Good luck on the move. Glad to see the main gets withdrawals [)]
  7. Hi i dont have any experience with the paddle trak tyres from the grasshopper . But i was wondering would they fit on a touring car wheel as i want a set for my CC01 touareg vw race. I went down the dunes today but the BFgoodrich ones have no grip whats so ever just dug 4 tiny holes[V]. So i had a look in LHS but they dont sell anything like the paddle track ones except for dirt hawgs sand paddle ones which only fit 2.2 ish wheels. Hope they can fit or even a substitute for them as i want to have some baja dakar fun[]. Any suggestions would be greatly received. Ryan[)]
  8. That lunchbox is outstanding mate. i wanted to do a midnight pumpkin crawler as i have lots of spares to this type of chassis and gearbox. I seen a post on here that mentioned a steering set up on the solid mp / lb gearbox (i think it was twinset) which someone had made a crawler with them. I dont think i will go that far yet. Cheers for the inspiration pelladine and good luck gustav hope to see a pic of the finished project []
  9. Hi all, Can anyone help me as i need a pumpkin / lunchbox steering rod set as mine broke[] . Has anyone got this set spare or used or even equilivant i think they are 4/40m rods. Please help me[V] Cheers all Ryan[)]
  10. Its both for me as they both have nostalgic qualities. LB was the one i use to look at everytime we went to winners models in the 80's and ive always wanted one but the pumpkin is a gorgeous f100 truck. So i have both originals.
  11. theres a quick drive monster beetle in men behaving badly on uk tv in series 2. They dont actually use it but its sitting on the shelf in nearly every episode in series 2 of men behaving badly. I know its not a movie but its still on the box
  12. All i can say is top site jozza it helped me create this I am now in the process of sorting all the wires out and adding head lights.
  13. Mine used to give a loud click when loading games so i took it apart and i found the adjusment that makes the lazer travel the diameter of the disc was out of alignment with its cogs. Some minor adjustment using a bit of controlled force and it stopped it. Jozza i also done a lazer repair like that on my sons one. One thing i have found with my mates console is to be very careful when trying to repair a compact one as its all very micro size and is very fragile whenits taken apart . He wrecked his in a matter of minutes.
  14. WOW Stunning work mate keep it up. Gives me the inspiration to spend more money to build a mod clod []
  15. Hi ive got a ta01 and ta02 , i know these arent the same shape but i use the plastic trays you get grapes, goosberries, strawberries and other stuff in the supermarkets im in the uk so dont if there use anything different to package small fruits in the states. Just have a good look round until you find something that will fit. I use a shallow tray about inch thick i get from local shop. The rear fits ok ish but i have to cut the corners out and invert them to fit. I tell you it works a treat, i can get them when i need them and i get to the fruits mmmmmmm []. I also use sticky velcro the keep them in place. Hope this helps Ryan
  16. here here Xanderp [:-)]

  19. Hi all im in the north east corner of cornwall (bude area) and was wonderng if there is anyone around here into Tamiya fancy a meet as theres plenty of cool offroad places in rugged cornwall[]. Locals seem only to be into nitro stuff []. Is there anybody out there [)].I feel alone[][] Cheers all . Ryan
  20. Hi all i live in a rural part of cornwall and my LHS only go for 1/8 buggies and savages so are not very helpful at all and there prices are too steep for me. I wouldnt have got back into tamiya rc stuff if i didnt find this site. I found a bush devil at a boot sale reckonised the chassis as being monster beetle type, it said tamiya on the back of body so i bought it that was it hooked again !!. When i meet R/C enthusiasts round here and i say i collect and run vintage and new tamiyas they look at me like im covered in horse muck!!!. Its only the R/C model boats guys see where im coming from with scale realism. i have just started making mini movies using my digi cam and it opened up the r/c scene for me a lot more. I'm just glad theres other tamiya nuts out there like me !. Cheers all Ryan
  21. If they rerelease the MB i would be getting one. This is the one ive always wanted but couldnt get as my parents couldnt afford it. Im 28 now and i can afford it !!!. The originals parts are to expensive for to get one as i would have to run it )
