  1. Can see a set of these landing on the door mat at some point in the future. Just built the alloy hop up GF01 shocks and they are lovely and appear to just be small versions of the df03’s. I was very impressed. This arrived yesterday along with some swing shafts for something I’m toying with but has gone on the back burner. Anyway. A chance/well timed comment to Tony of TTP fame and money exchanged hands! My youngest can now have a ‘girl’ driver in her GF01 when it’s finished which she is very happy about. Initial impressions are the head/helmet is much better than the Wild Willy version but for me I prefer Willy’s torso with the belts/buckles etc. so will probably end up a mashup of both. Best buy some paint now and see how rusty I am at painting models.
  2. Tamiya 51000 Hi Torque to replace P-parts. Is a recommended hop-up on the side of the box too iirc. Cant comment on the actual servo.
  3. You can pretty much ignore the bag of bits that cane with the servo from my experience. With the Tamiya kits I’ve built I’ve only needed the parts that came with the kit and not what cane with the servo.

I’ll not bother then. At least I’ll know for next time now!

I feel better in knowing I wasn’t alone 😂 Might email them and see if they will honour them minus code. Probably say no but nothing to lose.

Well then. That’s a lot of points that went in the recycling bin 😂

Hmm. I must be missing something here. As I have made several orders and the points on all (one over a year old) are still ‘pending’. Do you need to do something to convert to credit? I’ve never really looked. Edit: just had a quick glance over t&c’s and says you need a validation code. Definitely never noticed receiving any. Might email them.
  8. Nice. So much want. Really can’t justify it. Especially without a chassis it could go on.
  9. A DT03 that started life as a buggy and has ended up a truggy. A Top Force I really should finish. A Schumacher Cougar...that I should finish! And an impulse purchase GF01 Toyota Landcruiser that I thought looked fun for the youngest. Again I’ve not even considered starting that yet. Bit of a theme going on on that front! As for next. I really fancy a ‘proper’ truggy/truck like the Associated RC10T6.1 but I’ve told myself no more purchases until the others are up and running. Keep looking though!
  10. Are those springs different hardness’s? I’ve not seen any springs for the wr02/gf01 and it’s a build that’s on my radar for the future, although I’ve not looked too hard tbh!
  11. So much is cool about this but I am absolutely loving that rust/weathering. Top job 👍
  12. I only have experience of two Tamiya versions. The open ended ones from the Top Force #50596 The ball cup/closed ones from my DT03 #51283 I have a preference for the DT03 ones as they feel better on (subjective). Think I need to get me one of those tools @ALEXKYRIAK has posted. The adjuster on the Schumacher Cougar are an absolute pain to remove. The grip those balls for dear life!
  13. No idea tbh as I haven’t finished the TF and don’t own or indeed have any experience of the SA. In all honesty though you know the only acceptable solution to this situation is to buy both. 😈
  14. @svenb @moffman seeing as we are having a cossie appreciation thing going on(!) have you seen Ken Blocks latest? I know it’s designed for a specific purpose but really not feeling it personally.
  15. Just been wondering this myself as I’m going to be needing a fair few soon for something. Cant believe the price difference between the open ended vs ball cup. 6 open ended are £2.99 8 closed are £8.99 Considering I’ll need 12 that’s quite a difference.
  16. Body looks great @ALEXKYRIAK the whole build does. I’ll get the TF finished soon. Just a couple of bits on the DT03 need finishing. Too many jobs not enough time right now.
  17. Wow. I would have gone mental. I wont use my local Ford for anything other than parts. Any work I don’t want to or can’t do myself I go to a specialist. Fortunate to have two very highly regarded ones nearby and not a massive drive to Collins or Motorsport Development if need be.
  18. Close. £276 all in each. Plus centre caps which if memory serves were around £10 each. This early was last year. In the end I found four centres on eBay for £25 and had all the wheels refurbed. As good as new to me and a lot more money left in the bank!
  19. Well just checked and the Top Force ones are indeed 4x11.5 (according to manual and a quick ruler check) How many do you want. Got 4 doing nothing but languishing at the bottom of the box! I’m in Manchester. Anyone’s guess whether it would get to you by tomorrow but happy to try. PM me if you want.
  20. Where abouts are you? Sure I have some from the top force as I swapped to king pins. I’d need to double check but again not sure they’d get to you by tomorrow.
  21. Tease! I shudder to think how much they cost you going off what I got quoted for two new ones for my ST off Ford. Can't say I fault you having it tucked away. A rare sight now but never fails to raise a smile when I see one in the wild. Last one I spotted was going the opposite way on the A635 towards Holmfirth. Making progress shall we say!
