  1. Thanks. I think I will need to extend the length though as it wont reach from the ESC placement to the motor. That's why I assume the best option is to get 3 lengths of wiring and extend it somehow. The best route of that (in my head is): New wiring with female connectors going into motor. Other end of those wires have another set of bullets on that connects to the ESC (which will need corresponding new bullets on too). That's the only way I can think of to extend it. I just need to know what bullets to get for the ESC to new wiring section, if you get me
  2. Ah, so the motor comes with the motor side bullets, and a further set of male/female bullets for connecting to an ESC?
  3. Do you know what size/type of bullet connectors the MMM Speed Passion needs? Are the sizes universal between all 540 motors? I am new to upgraded motors so not really sure what I would need. I guess I also need bullets for the other ends of the cable, then the same bullets on the ESC to connect it all up? I’ll be using the Tamiya TBLE-02S for a while at least.
  4. I wondered the same, and just left them as the instructions stated.
  5. Beetle uses Long configuration. Just built mine this week
  6. Look at those body instructions!!! Ffff! Then the decals! Shhh! That’s the stuff of nightmares 😂
  7. Looking GREAT! Are those YR rear shock mounts part of the long travel kit? They look cool.
  8. I’ve got a couple* of questions since you have one - How much difference does the speed-Tuned TL01 set make? I’ve never driven an M-series so no idea what they’re like. Also, will you be swapping out the pinion for a larger one? - What hex size do these take to replace the stock ones? 5mm? - What model number are the Tamiya shims? Handy to know if needed! Thanks dude!
  9. Nice thread. I got one of these for Xmas and was thinking of doing a build thread. Now I don’t need to and can enjoy yours instead
  10. By this time last year someone had already said the Manta Ray was coming for 2018. It could of been a wild guess, or someone actually knowing. I guess we will know for sure fairly soon at the fair in January.
  11. Thanks for the info on this guys. I look forward to building my Rally Beetle soon! It will be standard for a while (except ballraces of course!) then upgrades later.
  12. Got it. Do the shocks come with the internal spacers? I think they’re the same as I got for my TT02, but I can’t remember if they came with spacers or not. 54753 was the item number.
  13. Cheers. Does the suspension catch the chassis when it’s at full travel?
  14. Do the CVAs come with all the parts to do that? The longer ball connectors I mean. I actually, I guess they won’t come with those. Where did you get them?
  15. Ah cool, I wondered if these would fit OK. I've got them on my TT-02 so may pick up another set for the Rally Beetle.
  16. Good to know myself, getting one for xmas and the friction dampers will be one of the first things I change. Tempted to do a Build thread on it. Maybe!
  17. Any drive cups that people recommend? Another thing on the to-buy list for the TF it seems 😂
  18. Where do you install the Thurst Bearings?
  19. Thanks guys! Couldn't see for looking So, are those ball diffs a lot better than the standard ones in the TF?
  20. I am having trouble finding those ball diffs and CV's, would anyone be able to assist? . Are they on eBay? The only ones I saw were £60! Is that right?
  21. Wow, that's a great price. I've not used RC Jazz before, will have to check them out!
  22. I really, really want one of these. Like the Top Force, I used to obsess over it in the catalogue and Radio Race Car magazine. That white paint and neon stickers screams 90’s too, love it!
  23. Manual for Super Astute available to read. Would be interesting to know if it's any different from the original? https://tamiyablog.com/2018/11/tamiya-47381-super-astute-2018-assembly-manual/
