  1. If you remember where, drop me a PM please.
  2. Stained my truck bed, now I have to figure out how to make some strap hinges for the gate. Sprainted an undercoat of silver to the body. Only the cabin will be used, the moulded truck bed will be cut away.
  3. Yes please. How do we proceed, this is my first trade here?
  4. Ha! That's great. The electric motor sounds like turbo whine.
  5. Styrene truck bed progress and special cargo.
  6. Remember to un tick the microphone observation option as Samsung can eavesdrop on your conversations otherwise. Strictly for commercial reasons of course. And certainly that feature won't be abused in any way at any time.
  7. As I'm new to the hobby and will be scratch building too, I made a conscious decision to keep all bits and bobs and utilise them in future builds. Odd shaped things will be handy to make all kinds of items for scale builds.
  8. There's really no need to spend so much on paint unless it is for Lexan which requires a specialist paint and really only when you are sprainting the inside of a Lexan shell. Sprainting the outside is done with a light coat of Lexan paint and then finished with how ever many coats you want of inexpensive acrylic paint with thousands of more choices than Lexan paint. Any other plastic you can use acrylics from other manufacturers and get much, much better value for money. Even Core RC has a small selection of Lexan paints that are cheaper than Tamiya and 50% bigger cans. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/rc-electric-models/rc-car-categories/9950/995025&ManufacturerID=1140
  9. Nearly finished my truck bed for my unimog build.
  10. I got a 1080p projector for my home cinema 10 years ago and planned on getting a 4K one when they became available, but they have remained astronomically priced and yet a 4K 80inch tv is now the same price as my 1080p projector when I bought it 10 years ago. Sadly I don’t have the room for a tv that size soa pull down screen was the my only option. I’d love to get a 4K set up but not at 4K projector prices.
  11. You are a member of Tamiya Club. Any model you choose will be a piece of cake with the guys here offering help. Remember: "Help will always be given at Hogwarts Tamiya Club to those who ask for it." .
  12. Falcon. I no longer have much interest in those type of vehicles, but the fun I had with my Falcon when I was a wee lad 30 years ago means I'd love to build and customise the heck out of a re-release. It would receive the very best of parts and upgrades. A shining example of pointless excess for it would never turn a wheel in anger and remain locked away in stasis as a re-Dorian Gray like tribute to my lost innocence.
  13. Out of the frying pan, mate. It's getting hairy over here, too.
  14. Not interested in buying(have several versions) but is the 4K version any good, picture quality wise?
  15. Are all the CC-01 chassis' identical or have some got longer wheelbase? It looks like the rear axle can moved back to accommodate a longer body but that would require a longer drive shaft, too
  16. Pro tip: don't use facebook. Thank me later.
  17. Do you have to use brushless motor and lipo with these kits?
  18. Fully working automatic hydraulic system, please.
  19. My flatbeds are beginning to take shape, still don't know which one I'll use, but they will no doubt come in handy for future Unimog builds. Thick cardboard from a delivery box. Duct tape hinges and then lots of masking tape That's how it will sit in the body shell should I go with this option. Just that poly flatbed needs cutting out to reveal the recess, then glue, fill and spraint. The styrene flatbed I built. That is on the back burner till some supplies arrive Trip to the lumber yard to collect these 6"x8' planks to deck my patio... Not really, they are for my plywood flatbed. IS JUS-A-YOKE! And finally the reason why all small things must be put away and hidden at the end of the day, unless I feel like lifting the furniture to find out where she took them More as and when.
  20. Started my plywood flatbed for Unimog build.
  21. Likewise. But they are inspiring to watch.
