Would Tamiya anti wear grease be suitable, because that's readily available? I figure grease is grease. If it's suitable for plastic and metal any old stuff will do. Unless you are a competitive racer, what's the difference, really?

Anyone else spot the charging cable on his 1:1 model? That must have taken ages to build. Nicely finished, too. To be honest though, it looked like a stock room rather than a collection. Maybe he is an ebayer and this is his inventory.

That's the one I've just started. It's my first build. Did your kit come with fluid for the shocks, because I can't find any in my kit?

Today I ah' bin' mostly confused that the holes in the chassis of my kit car are smaller than the screws that go in them. If I didn't have an electric screwdriver I would have shattered my wrist. They were definitely the right screws cos I put them on the little diagram to make sure I used the right ones. I also spent an hour trying to bind the receiver to the transmitter until I realised I hadn't put the pins in the right slots because I didn't read the ESC manual. Spent a long time looking at screws, too. A lot longer than I thought I would be doing. I was trying to convince my self that I definitely used the right screws because a significant part of my brain was telling me I hadn't and I think I won that one... maybe. This is my first build, as you may have guessed. My back hurts, now. I'm going to have a cup of tea and a mince pie.

Does this involve simply taking the receiver from one vehicle and placing it another? Thank you for all the replies. I shall bookmark and return to keep reminding myself of this good advice.

I'm about to start my first build, first of many I hope, but what is the one thing experience has taught you that you wish you had known at the start? Can be anything, big or small.

I'd love to get a shiny new Falcon. The Falcon was my first RC when I was a boy and it was awesome. I wrecked that thing, the tyres were smooth by the end.

Are body shells limited to the chassis they originate with or not. I want to replace a body shell on a CW-01 with a body shell from a CC-01, is that do able? They are actually the same design but sit on different chassis. It’s the Tamiya Mercedes unimog 406 shell FYI.
