  1. A while ago, I saw a TLT-1 on a local trading site, but did not go for it because I found it odd-looking. Only later to realise that it is a small scale chassis that would be fun to have. So now it's on my wish list too.
  2. Finished modifying the 2nd center drive shaft on the Mighty Foot Juggernaut. Still need to add the fuel lines but the weekend is on its way. And to make Duke Nukem more comfortable, added a pack of gum and some coke bottles. No good batteling aliens when your thirsty or out of gum.
  3. EC3 to Deans adapters. About half my Lipos have EC3, but most of my ESCs are Deans so a quick adapter saves re-soldering the Lipos. A new center driveshaft for the Mighty Foot Juggernaut. As I was modifying a shaft I made a mistake and the shaft became unusable. So lets try that again. A bag of nuts that were suppost to be screws, next time look twice what you order...
  4. The day started with an overdue tidy-up of the Ray-cave. With my workbench clear again, I'm working on the Mighty Foot Juggernaut again as I realised I forgot to add the fake fuel lines on each side. The 3D printer is running now to make some parts for that. And the rear bed hinge needs an update so maybe start on that too.
  5. To solve my juggernaut driveshaft issues I had a look at the original shafts. The Tamiya ones use a bigger M5x5 set screw in the end cups, the Chinesium ones use a M4x4. So I thought I had a cunning plan, and made a hybrid shaft using the Tamiya end cups combined with the cheap Chinesium mid sections. This shaft lasted quite a bit longer before coming loose, so I'm on the right track. Need to make a second shaft, and a strategic placement of lock-tight should do the trick. My daughter wanted to drive a car too, so we took Basher Big Bear and the Grasshopper 2 for a spin which was fun. Basher Big Bear is currently sitting in the garage as he drove through some dog sh... and smells. Luckely it's limited to one tire but still....
  6. Made some adjustments to Duke's Mighty Foot Monstertruck. Servo and lighting wires are now more hidden inside the chassis, the new ESC/Battery tray is installed. Adjusted the position of the front cabin a bit so the drooping stance of the truck is now correct. So I was ready to call this project complete and took it for a test drive. It has very decent punch under acceleration, lifts one of its front tires due to the torque of the center shafts. Steering circle is what can be expected from a Juggernaut... However, I have some problems with the Chinesium center drive shafts from the center gearbox to front/read axles. They keep getting loose and fall form the shafts they are attached to every 20 seconds. I cannot seem to get the allen-key setscrews tight enough to keep them attached or some other effect causes this trouble. Anybody know this type and has a solution for this effect?
  7. The lipo batteries had been sitting for a while, so I treated all of them to a small charge to bring them back on storage voltage. Amazing how long these packs will hold their charge, such a difference compared to the NiCd I remember from 35 years ago...
  8. Plenty of cunning plans, but lacking the time... Finish the Marui Samurai. Assemble the Marui Galaxy RS. Finish a Marui Big Bear. Continue with the electric conversion of the Mugen Seiki Prime 12. Start 2 other project cars?? So plenty of options.
  9. After a 9 hour 3D print, succes! The new battery/ESC tray sit snugly in the rear of the Juggernaut. So plans now include more detailing and play 'hide the wires', so this project can be finished.
  10. Made some adjustments to the 3D model for the custom battery/ESC tray of the Juggernaut. It only held the battery, but is now a battery/ESC combo tray. Heating up the 3D printer so I'll hopefully have the new tray this evening.
  11. 4 nice chevron monstertruck wheels, 175mm diameter, I will use these on a recently aquired TNX chassis that I want to electrify (brushless, LIPO). Compared to a Clodbuster, that chassis is HUGE!
  12. Vacation in Denmark is coming to an end, so ordered some 1/8 scale monstertruck wheels/tires as a start of a new project.
  13. My crazy project is the monster truck replica from the videogame 'Duke Nukem Forever'. I was playing this game oktober 2022, during the levels with the monster truck I thought 'that would be a nice project truck to build'. At the same time I saw a somewhat run down Juggernaut on a local trading site, which had the same grille as in the game. And noticed Duke Nukem action figures in roughly the same scale on eBay. So that all came together to the Rc version of 'Duke's Mighty Foot' monstertruck.
  14. This was the last work Friday, I now have 3 weeks summer holiday. I have some plans for 3d prints to repair the Bullhead Big Bear, but will also be on holiday to Germany and Denmark with wife/kid. After that, the wife's hobby room and kid bedroom need to be swapped so chores time. The real car needs maintenance, so these weeks will pass quickly...
  15. Sun was out so got some pictures from the Jugger. I made it a video game tribute car, for the ultimate alien a.. kicker of the 90s video games era. Just need to stop by the stores, as the driver seems to be out of gum. Its in the pictures only thread, page 81.
  16. Finally finished the custom stickers on the Jugger! Bolted the body/chassis together to see the 'final' result, but it still needs a new battery/Esc tray and detailing so plenty of work left. When the sun is out, I'll post some pictures. For the way it looks now, I love this thing.
  17. Working on the Jugger's lights. Front works, now on to the rear.
  18. Had another impulse buy accident and bought a Tamiya TNX.
  19. Did more custom decals for the Jugger, but ran out of ink so had to order cartridges. I'm about 70% complete. Custom cars really take some time to complete.
  20. Finished the new heated printbed on the 3D printer, and printed the bracket that I'm missing to fit the Jugger's grille. As the drivers cabin is visible due to not having the black windows but an open rollcage, the visible portion of the inside of the Jugger got some decals as well.
  21. Slow day today as I've got a very bad cold virus that draining all energy. But at least the 3D printer is busy printing new mounts for its new heated bed so I can make more custom car parts in the future.
