Did more custom decals for the Jugger, but ran out of ink so had to order cartridges. I'm about 70% complete. Custom cars really take some time to complete.

Finished the new heated printbed on the 3D printer, and printed the bracket that I'm missing to fit the Jugger's grille.
As the drivers cabin is visible due to not having the black windows but an open rollcage, the visible portion of the inside of the Jugger got some decals as well.

Slow day today as I've got a very bad cold virus that draining all energy. But at least the 3D printer is busy printing new mounts for its new heated bed so I can make more custom car parts in the future.

Bought this 1:8 chassis as it was only 10 bucks. This scale feels a lot stronger compared to a 1:10 car.
Might make a nice project someday...

Restoring a car is fun.... when it's finished.
And since you can use it as a slow-pace 'when I feel like it' project, I always found it a nice low-key way to fill any left-over time.
Took 2 (or maybe 3?) years to turn this eyesore into something more nice. A good period to find spares as they pop-up every now and then on local trader sites and eBay.
Still haven't finished the Samurai, thats into its 6th year now I think.

Big load today!
A bag of UNC allen screws for the Jugger's wheels. But none of my metric allen key wrences fit so need to find one that can...
The rest is a new heated printbed for my 3D printer.
I always had issues with the original printbed, because it was never level to begin with.
With these parts, an strong and flat aluminium base, magnetic build plate, thermal insulation blanket for the underside and leveling manual adjustment screws, I hope to finally give it a nice upgrade.Also a nice thermocouple temperature sensor to check/calibrate the printer's heaters.
More upgrades are planned, but one at a time... as budget allows.

Fitted the Juggers new shocks to the front (rear needs an adjustment in the shock mount).
Very happy with these, they have a much nicer and cleaner look and better color match compared to the old ones.

I've been looking at 3 shipments that are just sitting in the tracking app for some time, but one finally arrived today.

Might be a good idea to change the aluminium pinion for a steel one. I'm personally not a fan of the aluminium ones as they tend to wear and turn any grease grey with aluminium shavings.
Other than that, parts wise, my Blazing Star (same chassis) is about the same setup.

More custom stickers for the Jugger, about half-way there.
This has become quite the project for what will be mostly a show car.

Postman brought 2 gas caps for the Jugger.
I also went to Action and found this little boat, thought it would be a fun thing as I set up the pool for the hot temperatures weekend.
But off course, one motor died after 30 seconds....
So that's going back to the store.

Cane across shocks that I think will look much better on the Jugger, resisted temptation for 10 hours before pressing the 'buy it now' button.

The printable white vinyl sticker material arrived so did a test print. Looks ok and it's thinner and smoother compared to the paper sticker so I'll use this.

Ordered a different sticker material for the Jugger's custom decals. Making progress but I want to try one more option before deciding how to proceed. I just hope the ink cartridges will last...

Painted the Jugger's bed and body with 2 clear coats, looking sharp!
Re-assembling the Jugger's bed, and applying the first custom stickers.
Need to connect the LED lights.
And misplaced the angled brackets for the grille mounting, so need te do a search...
But overall, progress!

Inktjet printer and glossy sticker paper came in today, so had a few test-runs, printing the custom stickers for the Jugger.
After some tinkering, the results look promising! I have some test stickers now and I'm going to spray those with Tamiya TS clear paint to see what works best.
Stick to the Jugger's body first than clear coat, or clear coat the body first and add stickers later. The latter will have the advantage that stickers can be changed later if desired....-

Finished the 2nd set of wheels for the Jugger. Got the chassis 80% build up but I need to find a nice way to route the cables from front to back so those are out of sight.
Still need to re-design the battery box so it can also hold the ESC.
Ordered white and transparent blank sticker sheets and an inkjet printer so I can start work on the custom decals.
So plenty of work left, I never realised these custom builds are so much more work compared to building a kit straight from the box.

One set of Jugger's wheels was painted, busy painting the 2nd set.
Because this Jugger came with a widening kit, the previous owner modified the rims. Center drilled out to get to the nut and 5 holes added for screws that go into the widening wheel hub.
Not a nice view, so I 3D printed a set of center axle hub look alikes. Looks better than a gaping hole...

Today I wanted to hand-wash some dirt off the rel car, but could not find a sponge.
Then I wanted to cut a 550 motor axle as it's a bit too long, but can't find the Dremel.
It's one of those days I guess....
So I now painted some small jugger parts, at least that went OK for the primer....
Tonight, put the kid to bed, wife is out with friends, so Netflix time with the new Ant-man movie.

Took the Mugen Prime 12 chassis from its eternal storage to test-fit a new center gear set-up.
Goal is to electrify this nitro-chassis , but when I tried to fit a brushless motor I could not get the pinion and center gear close enough to gat any gear mesh.
Got a different gear mount and motor mount from Aliexpress, it fits in the existing mounting holes after some strategic washers to make it 1.5mm longer.
So happy with that, this project can move forward at some point in time.
Need to make holes in the bottom for the motor mount screws and a lipo battery box, and a new top deck for servo, ESC and receiver.

3D printed a missing crossmember at the front of the Jugger.
With that done, I can take the black ABS plastic spool out of the printer and put in a red PLA plastic one, for other small parts.
