  1. Thanks! Yeah I pretty much left it at that. It's the most fun I've had with a Tamiya. 6 months ago I picked up my first Tamiya. Midnight Pumpkin. I thought that was a big truck! I'm nine other kits in now and the Pumpkin no longer looks big! The Bull Head dwarfs it!
  2. Thanks for that. I bought my Bullhead second hand, unbuilt. Weirdly the B11 plastic parts were missing and some alumininum ones were included in the box already! Guessing previous owner bought them in prep but never built it.
  3. Hey peeps, just finished building my Bullhead. Stock everything at moment with exception of a ballrace set. I've got on order the Hobbywing 860 ESC, Savox high torque waterproof servo, 3s lipo, waterproof box for receiver and a wheelie bar. I'm attempting to make this thing good for all weather! 😂 Any other tips or advice for this one? Someone elsewhere mentioned using a tall servo horn to help with steering so will look in to that when it arrives. I've not run it yet so don't know how it handles but any other feedback and tips appreciated 😎
  4. Haha annoying isn't it. I stripped the motor out several times and the gear box once. Couldn't see anything obvious... Always something simple! 😂
  5. Cheers for all the responses guys 😉 I installed the AMPro transmission mod. Such a simple but effective bit of kit. So you'd recommend a brushless? I'm tempted again... 😁 I saw a video with a pumpkin with those shock braces. I think I'll give that a go. That's crazy. But I like it lol 😂 Any motor recommendations? Thanks. The AMPro is great. Dead easy fix.
  6. You guys were spot on. And I've given myself a good kicking! Didn't think it would be that simple but sure enough the second those wheels were glued down, she's running perfectly again. Thank you.
  7. If its that simple, I'll kick myself! The tyres are not glued but I didn't need to first few sessions with it, but perhaps you're right and it could be the problem. I'll glue them and see if it makes a difference, thanks.
  8. Hey mate, yeah the grub screw is tight. That was my first thought but the pinion is on real tight. Can't pull it off by hand. Realised needed to change sharing access on video. Sorted now.
  9. Hey all, I'm having a weird issue that's suddenly developed on my Pumpkin. Basically, when lifted from the ground, it'll sound and look like it's operating just fine when I apply forward and backward throttle. However, second I put it down on the ground and apply the throttle it's like it's sluggish to react and it just doesn't go with any sort of power. The motor will make a higher pitch whirring sound. I've tried a different motor so I know its technically not the motor, but I feel its motor related. I've stripped the gear box down and can't see any issue. It's driving me insane. I took a video to demonstrate. Thanks for your help. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dm_0ZqXfzrHN6gqhiDS2e4zSZldncW2Y/view?usp=drivesdk
  10. 😂 so true! Was like the cars were drawn to them! I did bust my Ampro arm 😔 Was my own fault. Got carried away with having fun and it had a nasty impact. New one on order!
  11. Thanks mate! I've gone ahead and ordered that from Shapeways now 😉
  12. Hey guys thought I'd head out with the eldest today and make the most of that weird orange thing in the sky. Perfect for shooting super slow mo footage with the Samsung Galaxy S9+! Slow mo start around 1:42 if you wanna jump ahead! Video also details the mods I've made to my pumpkin. Please excuse the excitable 7 year old lol
  13. Was one step ahead of ya! Fitted it a few days ago Think I'm done with the mods I want to do now. Possibly adding firm oil shocks to the front and maybe a third rear shock. Here's a video I made of my mods and some cool 960 FPS slow mo clips of it in action!
  14. Thanks. I was looking at the Ampro mod and read sticking with the stock silver motor is best so have decided against a brush less motor now I've gone ahead and purchased some sealed bearings, alloy body mounts, alloy suspension pivots, spiked tyres, CVA short shocks and the Ampro mod.
  15. Thanks for the feedback. With regards centering the servo, do you have any links to information or guides? A lot of the items linked in the post you referenced are dead now. Thanks again!
