    Double Dare

The front tyres are on the right way now, those pics are the ebay ones not mine Yeah it is true there is no point worrying about it, just annoying that people cant describe what they have, and then lie about things thats all. Oh i hate txt speak !!.. I dont even use txt speak when i am txt'ing someone, never have. At least the car is here and is on display in my living room next to my Porsche GT, Super Clod, and my Mammoth Dump Truck though , and the other half doesnt mind them being in the lounge room on the bookshelves either

    Double Dare

Just thought I would chuck up a pic of my newly aquired Double Dare. Picked it up from eBay, but the seller was pretty useless ( hopefully its noone here ) took forever to post ( read 9 days after i paif for it ) and kept fobbing me off with excuses, still havent decided what feedback i will leave. Anyway its in almost perfect condition, just needs a couple of stickers and a touch of paint to some places, and some front lights and it should be right. They are all the pics i have atm, havent gotten around to taking more, have quite a few cars i need to do that for as well. The box which looks good there, was actually a lid that was then ripped and stuffed into the box it was shipped in, completely ruining it
  3. That was the only reason i bought one with the chrome shell, as I couldnt find any kits with the White shell at all. At least it will be as easy to strip as my clod shell was. I used Acetone on my Savage rims to strip the chrome off those, that worked quite well too, then dyed them black, came up a treat. Now to decide should it be gloss or flat back for that great 50's theme, do the rims white, with some white sidewalls and all
  4. Ahh very nice, tyvm Will give me something to do once it arrives
  5. Yeah i was thinking along the lines of oven cleaner stuff, thats how i have cleaned all my other ABS shells. I would rather swap it if someone else was interested for sure
  6. I have just bought the Chrome Special Pumpkin, to go along with my Lunchbox The only problem, i do not like the chrome shell at all, and wanted a black one, which I could never find for a decent price. Can the paint be removed from the shell just like any other ABS shell or is there something more tricky to it ? Does anyone have a black shell they want to swap Cheers Chris
  7. Mine are all sort of spread out around the house. I have some in the garage, on any shelf i can find there, others are sitting on a couple of bookshelves in the living room . I have told the g/f that i want to remove the pictures / flowers etc from the mantle piece and put a few more there. All my boxes are piled up on the spare bed in the spare room, hopefully no one wants to come and stay soon. Then i have some at the moment sitting in the lounge room in boxes ready to be sent out
  8. Saw this topic, and thought, well if they are hard to get, that means i should get one doesnt it Ordered mine yesterday from Stella, cant wait to get it
  9. Would just wrapping it around the body posts work. Im sure ive done that on a couple of mine ( that long ago now and they are all in storage so i cant remember) Just put a clip or something a couple of holes down so the body wont cut the wire etc.
  10. Same here ! Looks like an awesome beach basher !
  11. Great pics. Very well done car, looks much better then the stock Tamiya one imo.

    Big Boss

Picked this u p on ebay the other week. Replaces the one i had as a kid all those years ago. Not in to bad a condition considering the age. The only problem is now during postage the box has gotten holes in it, where the aerial for the transmitter was sticking up ( why the seller didnt pull it apart i dont know ) and holes where the body mounts are Now it just needs a good disasemble and clean and it should be looking not to shabby. Or time to find replacement parts and fix it up Kyosho Big Boss More pics to come later, when im not at work ! Cheers Chris
  13. Cheers Couldnt pass them up for the car. Now they live on this Just need to find a new shell so that i can make a replica of this one now.
  14. I dont own the real car anymore, traded that on a nice XR6 Falcon On the ST170 By itself.
  15. Fantastic Pictures Loved them all Keep them up
  16. I got a tracking number from them after about 2 weeks of emails. Then it was a tracking number for something going to the US rather then AU so that wasnt any help, then nothing after that at all, and that was 2 weeks ago as well. Even if their actual site is better then their ebay site, ill never buy from them again because of this rubbish service. Now all I can do is wait for the paypal process to get my money back, and im surprised he hasnt even replied to me from that.
  17. Worst possible supplier ive dealt with Ordered a kit 1 month ago as per my thread in the ebay section, nothing more then a common theif in my view really. Will never even look at the auctions again
  18. Bingo ! I will never even look at their auctions again after this poor service.
  19. Thanks for that, im happy to be patient and wait for the money as long as i get it back The paypal complaint says up to $3000AUD so its well covered there. Yes I think they have just taken my money and not shipped my kit, such a shame from a so called eBay power seller, they will be getting some big negative feedback from me. Cheers Chris
  20. I bought a SVT Truck from a power seller in HK on the 29th of May. Since then and after about a dozen emails from me asking where it was i get a tracking number on the 15th of June, then another one telling me thats the wrong number. Since then I have got nothing from that seller in the way of email, or even the kit yet and its been a month now and im still waiting. I even escalated it to a paypal complaint on the 22nd of June, and they have still ignored that as well, so now its off to make a claim from paypal to get my money back. It was only $150AU not a huge amount but enough to really annoy me. Does anyone know how long it takes to get money back from paypal, the seller is part of their money back program that they have going too. Cheers Chris
  21. I love my nitro Savage 4.6SS Ran it in and had a ball doing do, then used it over some jumps, mind you said jumps were about 8ft high and i was about another 6ft in the air, broke a steering arm. Fixed that up and back out again, thing has a decent turn of speed to it as well, so after a bit more mucking about packed it in and went home. Then after that it just would not start, so sat in the shed for months, took it to my LHS, paid about $200 for a decent tune and other misc parts for it, got it back and its been in the shed for another good 6 months or more collecting dust haha, just never gets used anymore Some Pics - http://www.stfocus.net/photography/rccars/...acing/savage46/ On the other hand my TG10 is a dream, hasnt been used in well over a year or so now, but when it was working had no problems what so ever, guess thats just Tamiya quality hey Ran great, even when i didnt use it for some months, get it out a few quick pulls on the starter cord and it would come to life with no effort at all, great car that one Pics - http://www.stfocus.net/photography/rccars/...onroad/dtmmerc/ But for me electric will always win, quiet and easy to use, no mess no fuss, just plug in the battery and away you go, all with a decent turn of speed as well. But as i write this at work on the graveyard shift :S i have my new one here with me, Losi Micro T - 1/36th scale and that is great fun keeps me entertained when im not reading the forums, or actually doing work haha Pics - http://www.stfocus.net/photography/rccars/losi/microt/
  22. Builder, most definately, dont have a lot of time to run my cars, so get much more enjoyment from building them. Though I can't wait to get my Savage back so i can actually run that a bit Chris
  23. The diffs in the SS should already come prebuilt, mine did when i picked it up.
