  1. I can host them for you if you like Let me know Chris
  2. excellent, 3D spiderwebs I didnt have much luck with faskolor right from the bottle either, ahh well might have to get a proper compressor setup then Thanks for that info Chris
  3. Then that would be a nostalgia trip though wouldnt it ? Though I want one myself lol. Chris
  4. Yeah TD would be quite fun, easy to build and plenty of hopup parts for them. I love my TD, even though it hardly gets used Chris
  5. Thanks for that info, i might have to give it another shot with a compressor then. i was using the parma faskolor paints, was told to thin them with water, which never really worked at all, i hope this was the right thing to thin them with, if not what would be best. if you have a compressor do you really need to thin the paint or can you just turn up the pressure of the compressor at all ? I really want to use an airbrush again just for the huge range of paint colour thats out there Cheers Chris
  6. I have forums with avatars, and this one without them, I actually quite like it without them, lot quicker to load ( even though I am on cable so thats not a huge deal) but much less cluttered as well. my 2c Chris
  7. I hate airbrushing, tried it on a shell and ruined everything Thinned the paint right and all, went thru two cans of propellant ( as didnt want to fork out for a compressor in case i didnt like it ) and never got any paint through at all. Was most dissapointing, might try again oneday, does having a compressor that you can up the PSI on make a good difference ? Chris
  8. Thats great, think I might have to get one and do that to it now Cheers Chris
  9. Excellent, thanks heaps for that Cheers Chris
  10. Yep, rubber bands in the rims work well, the manual says in my TD to not glue them, so I thought I would try the rubber band trick. Works well Chris
  11. Where on the Tamiya site are they ? Cheers Chris
  12. Best of both worlds, do what I do, build them, then put them basck in the box, then you have a New Built in the Box But really its what makes you happy that is what you do. I get more enjoyment out of building them then running them these days anyway so 95% of my collection will just be new built - even if crappily painted - Chris
  13. Nice stuff, cant wait for the Frog to come out, will need a couple of those I think Chris
  14. Sandpaper - ezy off over cleaner and gloves Strip the stickers and the paint all in 1 go and start from scratch i say Chris
  15. Well I finally got around to building it, after a pitiful weekend with the airbrush, which ended in the bin, I needed to be cheered up so I built this http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=18092005130225 Some more pics @ http://www.stfocus.net/rcgallery/alpha2 Chris
  16. Well i have officially decided to give up collecting anything but all these sweet re-release kits.... to many of them to get now, going to stop me from all the other cars i want nice work Mr Tamiya ! Chris
  17. Has anyone else noticed this and the Jag XJR 12 are both out on ebay now... Has anyone purchased one yet ? Chris
  18. I have the TD and a Blazing Star, have to say i prefer the TD anyday. Blazing star is a good little buggy, but with the stock tyres really doesnt go all that well in grass etc, but on a track they go ok. Have some truck rims/tyres on one of my Blazing Stars as well, that ones goes ok too. But with the 2 engines and higer ground clearance, i like my TD much better Chris
  19. I get more enjoyment at times out of building the model then running them. Due to the way my roster is at work, i hardly have the time to run all my cars, so for me building them is the main enjoyment, so most of them will end up shelf queens. For now they get build and stuck back in the box the came in, until i can get a proper place to display them all. I have about 8 cars that have been runners even though i will only now use about 3 of them. Chris
  20. I ended up doing the below with my savage clips as some of them are a right pain to get on/off the truck.. Just a zip tie put through some fuel tube, works wonders Could easily be done with others as well Chris
  21. Cheers Yeah didnt really think it was rare, but still for $8AU its a cool little addition for me, and most likely my cheapest Tamiya ever Chris
  22. Ahh yeah thats a fair call, will def be worth it though Chris
  23. I just won this on ebay. Was a pretty good price too. How many of these were made does anyone know ? Just a diecast Tamiya bus ? Cheers Chris
