  1. I did the xray battery mount parts to fit my shorty pack. Just wanted to get rid of the tape.
  2. The Shelf queen is always an option to have on the ready. Sucks your track closed. Sad when any track closes. My closest track is an hour drive.
  3. If you don't mind non tamiya. Get the yeah racing dampers. They also come in blue.
  4. I run it on black carpet only. I run eam 5200 or the 4800 batteries. 21.5 usgt motor and tires. Are you doing from ssbb towers as well?
  5. Just saw your article on the rcracer. I couldn't post for some reason on there. I think an idea to add a rear battery holder for shorty batteries would be a good update for better as balance. I used one from a ta07 and drilled a hole.
  6. I love it! I think the trf body posts would be a better set up.
  7. Thank you. I searched green amg's and saw one green metallic and loved it. That was the inspiration. The yellow stripe really sets it off too I think.
  8. Buttoned up the euro truck body. Here is my euro truck and TA07 that I will be using in a TCS race this weekend.
  9. Still have many decals to put on and securing the body parts. I've been doing touring car bodies lately and almost forgot how time consuming these tamiya bodies are 😆 I love the detail. Sometimes I love the build more.
  10. Building a euro truck for a tcs race next week
  11. I got this from the tamiya site. I really wish tamiya would stay consistent with colors for their springs.
  12. I was looking through some of my boxes and found this old technigold motor I have. I can't even remember when I got it.
  13. Are the suspension mounts going to have to be filed down. I don't think they should but thought I'd ask. Would you be able to elongate the motor screw mount holes a bit? Maybe another mm would work? I know the gear box may interfere with this but just an idea.
  14. I appreciate the input. I'm having fun with this class right now. I'll get the most out of the car for now plus I'm using the cars I have and really don't want to spend money on another chassis.
  15. Happy Birthday!!! Thank You for providing a place to share the Tamiya love.
  16. I think that will be a nice option for rear facing posts. Otherwise I can't think anything at the moment for upgrades. Thank you for doing this for the ff04 and what you have done for the tamiya community.
  17. This is exciting for the ssbb towers. I used a TA07 battery mount on the back of the battery. Just drilled and countersunk. Here is my set up on my ff04
  18. I started with rc then started with 1:1 cars. When I finished my Malibu I really got back into rc lol. I think rc is more dangerous in terms of spending. With the real car you have to save and spend for parts in big lumps. With rc is a little here and a little there lol. My wife says " I see what you're doing". I tell her it's cheaper than the real car and bills are paid lol.
  19. Hey Guys, I always check the bottom of the page and see the ages of all of us. I'm gonna be 47 next week and still play with these toys cars lol. I don't see ever stopping. Just think it's great to see people keeping the hobby alive.
  20. Getting my ta07 ready for tcs racing
  21. Replacing a bent chassis on my419xr
  22. So the race I did this past weekend was so much fun with the ff04. 11 fwd's on the field. While the ff04 did well handling for me the competition was obviously better than I was. So needless to say the driver needs work and the car could be refined a bit. Otherwise it was super fun and met some great people. While on practice day Saturday I installed the 419 suspension upgrade which is just 420 suspension parts. It does sharpen the suspension a bit. I had already done this on my trf419xr and love it. My ff04 is the yellow with green bumper splitter. The first car is Al's car who the event was for. He's a huge fwd fan.
