  1. Some parts for my Optima Mid build coming
  2. Sounds like an excellent plan. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
  3. Great build so far, loving the orange. Be good to see this running. I'm trying to move a few things round at work to make the next Junkies meet.
  4. Sounds like some good ideas. Avante and Egress are so iconic looking. You're welcome. I was going to say that it was rubbish on the racetrack, but thought it's 'reluctance' made it sounds like it could win, but didn't want to! Thanks very much
  5. Absolutely. Despite it's reluctance to win on the track, I'd say it's easily in the top three most iconic buggies of all time. I will hopefully be ordering one.
  6. Just take the rough with the smooth. There's been a few times that I've felt like giving up after a bad build, or endless problems with a car. But, I can honestly say, I'm glad I didn't. The TT-02B is a great buggy, and I'm pleased you are documenting the re-build here. Subscribed.
  7. Thanks for the slipper tip, and the offer. Much appreciated. This is a marvellous forum
  8. Recently sold some stuff that I didn't need/want. My plan for this year is to build and run my four most favourite buggies ever. They are (in no particular order): Boomerang, Optima Mid, Egress and Avante. Boomerang is done so next up will be this beauty.
  9. Yes please. I nice Avante running video would be absolutely marvellous. No pressure๐Ÿ˜
  10. Haha. Me too. I think for me it's because they are relatively cheap to buy and I think to myself I need these tyres for that surface, those for this surface and some spares for when they wear out. Then some for if its a little damp, and a spare set of those. Etc etc...
  11. I can relate to this for sure. I looked at my tyre/wheel collection last night, and there are four big boxes of them! Might be time for a "Tyre Tombola".
  12. Let me check out the compatibility of the chassis when I get home tonight. I know the gearboxes fit either end ok, but I think the Boomerang requires another fixing point at the bottom of the rear gearbox (Hotshots use a skid plate for this). I'll let you know later on tonight. The guy that made them did say that they were compatible with the Boomerang, but now I've got one built I can check.
  13. Added some led lights to my scale workshop.
  14. I think it's from the Blockhead motors book. Don't think it's been released as a kit. Tamico have just restocked the book I think.
  15. As much as I love Tamiya also, I'd have to say get a modern buggy and fit a vintage/retro body.
  16. Thanks chaps. That was the part number I'd found from my TD2 manual but couldn't confirm anywhere that they were right for the 50520's.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ
  17. I'm building up some yellow 50520 dampers for my Lunchbox and the only parts I don't have are the bladders. Does anyone know the part number for them? Or any alternatives. I've looked through my spares and only have the green 10mm bladders with seem too small. Thanks for any help.
  18. I quite enjoyed cutting it out. I'm hoping to paint it tomorrow. Just can't decide on a colour yet.
  19. PS6 yellow, back with PS7 orange and then silver. You can see the finished result in my build thread here:
  20. Unfortunately not. Only what I've listed above. I'm primarily a buggy guy๐Ÿ˜ฌ
