  1. Well if at any point you decide you want my old one for free just ask & it's yours. It works as good as new. I actually have a 16t brushed Absima motor you can have too. I wouldn't ask for any money because they're just spares I no longer need or use.
  2. I have my old Hobbywing ESC right here. If you live in the UK & want it, you can have it. I'll even cover postage (It'll cost me less than a quid to stuff it in a padded envelope and post it). Just PM me if you want it.
  3. I found a rubber cover on Ebay for you if it's any good - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173401084213
  4. It would also depend where & how you drive it but I used that very same Hobbywing ESC on my blitzer beetle chassis with a 16t motor & it was fine. I thrashed that thing.
  5. Also, for my TT-02 Bug project I used the front mount for a Blitzer Beetle that I bolted to the front uprights. I got lucky & it lined up perfectly. I made holes in the shell to fit the rear mounts though. Toothpaste and a soldering iron EDIT. Never mind, I read your question about mounting wrong & I can't see how to remove my reply. My first reply is a good link to an engine though. I just searched Ebay for "Sand Scorcher Engine".

  7. I had the original Monster Beetle when I was younger, great fun model, I loved it but it loved to eat gearboxes. I'm tempted for another but I do wonder if Tamiya improved the gearbox for the re-release. Maybe I was just a bad driver in my younger years...
  8. To be fair I was tired & even went to sleep thinking I probably made myself look like an idiot I was going to remove the post but I thought to myself "Mark, it's better they discover you're an idiot now rather than later".
  9. Is it not to mount a flint so that you can make sparks come from the back? I could be way off but I have a vague recollection of Tamiya having that feature on their F1 models.
  10. It says in the manual 25 turns or above. When I was running my Blitzer chassis I used a Hobbywing Quicrun 1060b, cheap as chips & will handle 12t on NiMH or 2s & can handle 18t on 3s.
  11. Hi, I'm new here. This is the project I'm working on, it's a Blitzer Beetle body mounted on a rally set up TT-02r chassis. The front body mount is a modified Blitzer Beetle mount, I cut out the centre section so I could bolt it to the uprights. I have the chassis set to increased ride height & short wheelbase plus I've shortened the front track by replacing the front ~9mm hexes with 4mm hexes and fairly obviously I've fitted rally wheels/tyres. It has a Tamiya 10.5t brushless motor & a Team Powers XPS sport programmable ESC. There's still loads to be done - Replace shocks, not that I find much wrong with the TT-02r oil filled shocks but I want alloy shocks. Replace battery with LiPo. Tidy up body mounts & bolts etc. Now, to paint or not to paint? I really don't know whether to leave it 'ratty' or paint the shell. Perhaps white? With rally livery? Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. Here's a photo of it next to my Kyosho (I was fitting new tyres to) for scale. I think it looks pretty good, any ideas, thoughts, opinions would be most welcome.
