Does anyone know what blend of material Tamiya use for their injection mouldings?
AFAIK they are using a wide range of different materials. The chassis on my WT-01 was made out of polycarbonate (I broke it twice). For the arms they've used a more flexible material.

what did you break?
Besides things like hubs and CVDs (GPM) I broke the chassis where the front and back frames attach to the chassis. Twice.
A major design flaw IMO.
The way the servo is mounted is pathetic.
My current monster basher is a modified SMT 10. I am 100% Tamiya free now and I am not looking back!

it's a solid design that's virtually indestructible
Not in my book. My Mud Blaster II kept breaking so I moved on...

The fact that people act as if sliced bread was new is hilarious.
To me the LMT looks like a hideous version of the SMT10.

a gyro might help
It will. I can recommend the SkyRC GC301.

A gyro can improve the handling of 2WD cars tremendously. Especially at high speeds.

Absima and Ghiant both offer metallic black lexan paints.

As above it looks like dry spray where the paint has lost liquidity before hitting the surface. Does the rough coat flake off? If so, yeah, probably dry spray.
My thoughts exactly.

That's pretty cool Jason, it looks like it's based on the old T4 chassis which means that there'll be plenty of hop ups available should you want to go down that route. (B4 hop ups will also fit since the T4 and B4 both use the same gearbox and steering assembly) I'd recommended trying to get your hands on a brass front bulkhead to get a bit more weight over the front end and getting the solid bellcrank assembly to get rid of the terrible servo saver associated used as standard, you'll have to get a metal servo horn to go along with it too. They'll transform the handling of the car no end.
Are you referring to the aluminium steering set (AE91392) from Team Associated?

Also the stickers come loose. Any suggestions on how to reattach them properly?
Try a hairdryer or heatgun on a low setting. Works wonders for me!

You done well to break it there,..
I bet it was that stump I didn´t see because it was literally invisible.

Yes, I am only going to use the gearbox shell.
EDIT: ****, I have discovered further damage. Now I have to also replace both chassis which means I have to take the car fully apart. What a bummer...
I am contemplating reinforcing the chassis the same way as the body by using glass fiber tape and Shoe Goo. At least in some crucial spots to keep the added weight low.

Hey guys,
I have upgraded my Mud Blaster 2 (WT-01) with the taller shock towers from GPM and some 103mm shocks. Due to the length of the shocks the axles (stock dogbones or GPM CVDs, doesn´t matter) do pop out often.
I was using shorter shocks before but didn´t like the stance and handling.
So is anybody out there who has a similar setup and knows some slightly longer dogbones or CVDs?
Thanks.

Hey guys,
for sale is my heavily modded 2015 Monster Beetle.
The car comes without electronics and servo. It includes the following upgrades:
- MIP Super Ball Diff
- AMPRO Rear Double Wishbone Suspension
- AMPRO Rear Body Mount Brace
- AMPRO Zero Toe-In Steering Knuckles
- AMPRO Motor Adaptor Plate
- AMPRO Central Servo Mount
- AMPRO Front And Middle Skid Plates
- Rubber-sealed ball bearings throughout
These upgrades did cost quite a bit (a bit over 300 € total), so please keep that in mind when making an offer.
I will include a brand new body and stickers. Pictures will follow in a couple of days.
Cheers,Eno
