  1. In the April 2005 edition of Classic and Sportscar magazine in the UK, someone is selling a real Kremer Vaillant Porsche Carrera RSR!! It is the Tamiya colour scheme and the correct decals and everything. It is a 1974 model. The company is Maxted-Page Ltd. No price, but 6 figures I would say. It is s pity it is not on their website...
  2. Thanks for the opinions guys. I have given him +ve feedback. Your views were just what I needed to get some perspective....guess I was being a fussy old woman! It is funny. Working in sales myself I can't abide customers who act in the way I was in danger of acting. Saved from becoming the thing I hate the most!!
  3. Thanks for all the input. I am trying to be as fair as possible, which is why I am discussing this first rather than jumping in. I am a little perturbed by how he says 'look carefully' in this auction but not his others. To me this proves he knew about it. The fact that he bought another NIB (the same?) Grasshopper II recently with its insert makes me doubly irritated. It is like he knows it is missing its insert but does not want to point it out. I think that this tactic is dishonest. Although to be fair life is probably too short to get silly about it.... What feedback do you guys think????
  4. I need some help with this one. I won the following auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MEWN:IT The item is listing as NIB. It is complete, but as you can see in the picture it is missing the inner box liner; something I did not notice when I was bidding [:I] Now, the seller does suggest that I 'look carefully' at the picture. I did not, and got caught. Should I be complaining about sharp practice or not? Whenever I list auctions I always make sure that I list any defects I know about to avoid disappointment. I know it really is my own fault for not looking carefully enough, but I don't think you can fairly list a kit as NIB when it is not complete. How should I (if at all) tackle this? I want to avoid being unfair, so any other opinions would be helpful.
  5. Going to collect it in person is the way to go. Call the blaggers bluff!
  6. Hmmm. I am sure I saw these photos elsewhere but I can't remember where. Looks like someone is going to get spanked.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MEWN:IT
  7. Here is mu latest message from this idiot! HI Ian, I want to sell it now because i need the money fast for buy another product. Regarding our deal...let me tell you that i'm looking to close a fast and safe deal.Like you have seen i'm new on ebay and i would prefere to use for payment wire transfer because are fast and safe for receiving money.A option it is Western Union Money Transfer. Regarding shipping...i would prefere to use UPS Service because i've used it before and i know how it works.Trough UPS Express Pluss i can ship this tamiya worldwide.I allready have a UPS acount number and the shipping taxes for me are not so expencive. Once i will have your confirmation ,i will call my UPS agent ,make the rezervation for shipping the tamiya and then i will go pack the tamiya .I think you know that it must be packed with instant foam in place to not appear any damages on the way to your address. After the unit it will be packed i will contact you and confirm that the unit is at UPS and it's ready to be shipped. Then you will have to go and send me the payment trough Western Union Money Transfer and contact me with the payment confirmation.Once i will have the payment confirmation i will call at UPS and let the package be shipped to your address. This is the deal.I think is safe fort both. The package will be insured for the total amount that we are dealing and you will have 7 days Return Policy. In this 7 days you will test the conditions of the unit.If something won't be like you expected to be you can return the unit back trough my UPS acount and when you will send it back UPS will give you all your money back(that you have sent me).I'm pretty sure that this won't happen because the unit is in the best conditions, but this is like a warranty from my part for you. The package is ready for shipping to you but you must send me your full name and address,i will pay the shipping cost, and you will pay the fees of the money transfer via western union. Once you will confirm that the payment was done i will send imediatley the package via UPS Expres at your address. Here is my payment address: last name: DUVAL first name: ALBERT street: VIA DOMENICO NICOLAI 50 , city: BARI zipp: 70122 country: ITALY This is all regarding how i would prefere to close this deal. Waiting for your shortly answer to close this deal as soon as possible. Thank you in advance! I wonder how many other poor saps he is 'closing the deal with' at the moment?
  8. Just to test the theory, I emailed him as well. I got exactly the same word for word email and the same piccies. This is a scam!
  9. Nothing at all? Sounds sensible when you think about it. Has anyone got any other tips on preservation?
  10. Hi, I am new to the forum. Only discovered it yesterday and I have decided to rebuild and sort out my beloved 959. I have a question. I do not want to reuse the car after I have finished up, just get it looking nice on a shelf. If I strip the car down and clean the bits up with soapy water and WD40 what if any lube should I use in the diff and the suspension pins? The aim here is to protect and preserve the areas for display not really to lubricate. Thanks!
