  1. I dont really know a forum for this, so ill ask here and see if someone knows. I have an rc airplane made from foam. I want to make a copy from carbon fiber, using a mold from polyester. I dont know what sort of release agent i can use that does not get soaked in, and ruin the foam. I also want to make touring car body shells with the same materials, so preferable something that works for plastic also. Do anyone know a release agent that works? Alternatively tips to stop the foam from soaking without ruining the plane? Thanks for amswers!
  2. What about the 2400kv castle motor and the hobbywing or mamba esc?
  3. The high speed gearing is not fitted, but I have read that the velineon system is not good for 3s, so I wa t to upgrade it
  4. I'm in Norway. But the problem is not that the veleneon is bad, it's just that I want something better- perhaps a 1/8 motor.
  5. On 2s it is fine, but I want to drive it on 3s
  6. Does love kv give more speed in that case? I drive it on asphalt or on gravel, it becomes hot on both.
  7. I don't want to use 6s. I want to use 3s, perhaps 4s but unlikely, without it being warm. By hot I mean that the plastic on top of the esc is melted.
  8. The motor and car is well maintained. It has fans, and I have low gearing. The heat comes after about 5 minutes, and I am wondering what I can do to prevent by buying a new motor.
  9. Are there any cheap motors that I can fit into my slash to make it run cool on 3s? Should it have low kv -what are the drawbacks of this? And should it be capable of running ex 6s- will this make it cooler on 3s than something that is limited to 3s?
  10. Sorry, should have specified. Meant the body shell only.
  11. Is the Porsche gt1 from colt good? I mean, is the quality bad, and is it made from thin plastic?
  12. Which brands have thick plastic rc shells for 1/10 cars? Im looking for tamiya-like stiffness, and I don't want the sort of soft bodies from ex hpi.
  13. The chassis is the 4tec 2.0 vxl, with castle "something" kv motor. I know the car is 1cm too wide for the body, but I had this body left after a flip over (le mans-style crash, almost burning through the roof at 100kmh that is why I attached the front cardboard).
  14. Yeah. I also have made the front less steep, and have reduced the air under the car from putting a piece of thick paper(?) To almost rub against the ground. It works very fine. However, want to know if this or a similar sort of mod on the rear can get my car to hit somewhere around 100mph.
  15. Would this design increase the top speed of the car, or should i do something else/ change it? I took inspiration from the McLaren speedtail.
