  2. Camping is only fun when you are already there and when you get your a$$ home (been there so many times) The camp fire is two flashing 3mm yellow and red LED BULBS, timber is tooth picks and coal/tinder covers the lights is crushed walnut shells set with a dobber glue water mixture to contain them.
  3. I still need to place the Fly Fisherman along the river (from Woodland Scenics)
  4. So many things, people and history, movies even songs are about or have something to do with bridges, i have built many types for all my layouts and i like them all. they are not perfect and a couple that were kits are still challenging to construct. (i'll post them later from the N-Z, the 1/32 and now the HO.
  5. Welp needed to order some more cat tails (tully's, reeds), and some various trees (i robbed enough from my other sets). added some more peeps and accessories i came across while buying other stuff, it never pops up until the next time you're shoppn' and browsing.
  6. Yes you must clean the river rocks before they're introduced to the river( go figure)HA! need'm to stick when glued... Take me to the River___________________________
  7. Elmers or any white glue and or clear silicone to make water rapids.... Tooth picks (wait till it's done) foot/rope bridge these get sanded then cut in half add paint or stain This is a sub structure for the future expansion for hills, mountain, tunnel. My coffee maker came packed with these, super tuff and should be easy to plaster/foam fill ect..
  8. Been acquiring vintage slot car accessories that have been around since the 60's, 70's & 80's, this is from the late 60's early 70's this kit did not come with the pipes or the hump piece of track, so i only paid $11 for them, Yes i could have made them, but i'm hooked on having some nostalgic pieces., brings back the Good Ol' days. I used Gray PVC electrical conduit ripped down to fit and UHU'd it. a lil' gray paint for touch up.................................................................. The marble color of the bridge sides is original and is the molded color as is. wait to you say the creek bed i have to fabricate for this...................................
  9. The Grand Band Stand: Oak veneer (self stick onto a piece of card stock) AFX guard rail, heat gun and form, bicycle spoke rods, steps formed from a carton of cigs edge flap, CA toothpicks to reinforce step bends, UHU glue to adhere to guard rails. Add the band and some fan fare and off to the races!
  10. Living stone wall... Aluminum channel(from a shower door), Scotch Brite Pad, coffee grounds, a lil' glue, later will be some other foliage planted.................
  11. Found a new sickness for my health Now i have some of these wheels on some 1/24th scale dragsters i built and found out they make them for HO, so i purchased a few pairs of F&R's. Found these Lexan bodies at Harden Creek, Porsche 917K, Porsche 962C, Jaguar XJR-14 GTP, International and a MAN race truck
  12. These neon signs pictures are hard to capture, the "Michelin" is actually yellow anyways they finally arrived about a week ago and installed them yesterday
  13. Orange Ping Pong Ball, i have made these larger and much smaller with different size balls. Pops was a partner in a 76 station many many years ago. Still a few more lights in some spots to add later. I hope you enjoy and give what any scale model layout a try, lights are fun but, time consuming, but the reward brightens things up.
  14. Well, lets light this joint up! Start your engines.
  15. A few more garbage cans and small scratch build accessories and waiting for the NAPA Auto and Michelin Man Neon signs that come out in the middle of May. oh and needs a light or two for the out door dinning area. other than that, the layout lights up tremendous, quite the illuminating experience
  16. Transformer connection station each connector, one for the Neon signs 4.5V & the other for LED 12V lighting these are two different slot car display cases to make this station 1 1/4" brad nails for for tin roof (weathered) small connectors tuck away as though a Lil' jewel case
  17. Inside a Cen-Tec Ohm meter (3mm bulbs fit nicely, green is constant and the yellow & red are flashing)
  18. Press Tower LED Lights, but my version of a fluorescent tube
  19. i have this track wired for two trans formers, one for each lane, and two sets of jumper cables as to have power to lanes from afar so you don't have to have a loss of power at the farthest points of the track.
  20. Hey SC82 wish it was bigger, but oh well still fargin fun. these lil cars are way faster then yesteryear, heck they hardly fall off, almost boring, the older cars i think are actually funner at least you have to may more attention, i have quite a few of the brand spanking new ones and basically full trigger it's like magic I mean strong magnets
  21. Almost there, have layout wiring to do, waiting on the Press & Media Tower, a high voltage transmission tower and water tower, things i could have built but kits are fun and that much more accurate. Started collecting some vintage slot cars from around the world and purchased some inexpensive people i need to repaint, ones like Woodland Scenic are done very well and the price reflects it so the others are a lot of doppelgangers so repainting them different colors makes them look better and are for more or less for crowd fillers at the fraction of the cost. There well be a day and night photo shot when done hopefully soon. I learned one thing doing my other layouts they just are never a 100% complete. Thanx B.RAD, When I started my 1/32 Scalextric layout and Z scale, then a N now this, they all contributed to each other to build certain things i see and collect, it's time consuming but rewarding to be able to find bits and pieces to make something look like we use every day or at least an resemblance for no money at all, well glue and paint, but they're always around.
  22. The universe was void of light, not any more.. pen pieces & miscellaneous helps bring a brighter future...
