Nice Clod project. Does the metal sheet in the bed serve a function or is it pure aesthetic? -
Nice Juggernaut! Looks in great condition & well modified.

Thanks to @Truck Norris I bought this Agrios. It’s a real beauty & I’m very pleased to be the new owner. Sent better packed than a brand new kit.

that old question: How to remove paint from Polycarbonate Bodies
J@mes replied to whahooo's topic in General discussions
I had a bad result with Carson paint killer. The lexan it touched turned opaque white. I had good results with the Tamiya polycarbonate body cleaner. I was working on 20+ year old body painted by others with who knows what. -
Sand scorcher on a king Blackfoot chassis

Nice fix for the KBF bump steer. I did the same on my BF where the knuckles are easier as the connectors are screwed in. -
Another NiB Clod OG - def no Chevy branding

I’ve been aware of the possibility & lived in fear of hitting a steaming pile anytime I’ve been RCing but by some miracle so far in this respect I’m a lucky guy

This is a crappy thread.

A glimmer of hope… Amid news of war & rising rates & economic downturns a trade agreement’s announced whilst the new Japanese Premier visits England for the 1st time So Tamiya fans in the UK are soon to enjoy (more) shipping containers full of well priced RC products?

Your single most expensive RC item purchase?
J@mes replied to Mechanic AH's topic in General discussions
Most I’ve spooged on 1 rc is an OG clod that’s (still) nib & someone wrapped it in magical cellophane that is somehow impervious to it’s new owner. I aspire to 1 day owning the Abrams rc full option tank kit which might cost more -
No RC activity for me but it’s good to spend some time reading about everyone else’s

Tekken2 was another one that I spent way too long playing
-
Woah this has taken me right back to 1995 & 1996 where I spent a lot of time playing Wipeout Had forgotten all about it!

I got a loads of favourite spots, depending on the conditions & the vehicle of choice. Skate park with the heavy dump truck, beach with the CW01 Unimog, gravel car park with the MF-01X rally beetle, grass park with the twin detonator, bush devil & clod buster, forest walks with the king Blackfoot… list goes on

I saw a 1:1 of these on the road a couple of days ago & now the weathers improved there’s all manner of cool cars out & about. Hooray for beaches & sun

I’m 45. 1987 was an influential year for me, family member had a Hot Shot & I had a Hornet.

When I start feeling guilty about my Tamiya spend I remind myself the resale value’s good, like Matisse said, although I’m not selling a project to fund the next it’s reassuring to know, when I have a small fortune tied up in kits, parts & paraphernalia. It might all end with my premature demise and an international auction, but certainly not even close in comparison to the recent estate auction/ sale

Clod Regulator Build
J@mes replied to 87lc2's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Looks cool. Did you chop bits off the knuckles and rails to improve the steering, like JC suggest? -
After buying it I think I remember already having one of these body sets somewhere 2 blue brats!
