  1. If not moving leads to another scale garage then maybe it was for the best. Will Dirty Richard grace the wall once more?
  2. couple of new(ish) cans plus steel 20T cogs fitted to the Twin Detonator
  3. Yeah, I know what you mean. I registered for the auction but haven’t had a look since & also have enough to be getting on with.
  4. Yeah - although I see it’s described as pixel! To my eye it’s ‘Urban’ lol & for the price it’s easier than cutting it out myself. My Japanese is a bit rusty (or non existent!) but I think the instructions, steps 1 to 6, are explained well enough in the images. I figure I’ll paint the inside in PS silver as standard & then a mix of TS red white and blue on the outside over a ‘primer’ of PS flat clear before sealing it with TS flat clear. What could go wrong?! Probably a bit too ambitious for someone of my skill level
  5. Today our Twin Detonator gets a new front gearbox housing. It’s certainly used and abused! Thank you Tamico Quality stuff I blame the kids Fair old whack (or several) meant the mounts had sheared off & 1 side had cracked almost all the way through Not exactly good as new… Next time round I’ll treat it to new bushings, a pair of new 540’s and steel pinions. Maybe even a clean
  6. Sorry to sidetrack the topic… I am curious to know, are the panel lines on these done with a 0.5 marker pen? & is that done inside or outside the body? Thanks!
  7. I recently saw the episode where Otto got his driving licence thanks to Patty & Selma’s dislike of Homer & so the job driving the school bus. Amazing that show been around (and stayed good) since ‘89
  8. I was hanging for a while there! Thank you @Willy iine @Wongataa @SuperChamp82 & @alvinlwh for your responses. I have considered painting the outside of the shell, it would be alot easier, if I can get the paint to stick ( with sanding & primer ) maybe even using TS paint and clear to sto it falling off…
  9. Niice! I see the tires are mounted to the wheels in the box, are they glued?
  10. Shiny! That looks like it could handle a lot of power…
  11. Looking for advice on which paints are the best match for the red & blue of the Tamiya logo. It’s for a camouflage scheme I’m planning to attempt on a Dynahead. Looking at the chart it seems PS2 & PS30 are the best match but maybe someone has experience & can advise? Thanks for your help!
  12. Unmolested by customs, which is a rare thing round these parts these days. I think it came to £160 delivered with PayPal exchange rates. It’s the best price I could find and without the UK duty beats Tamico.
  13. I don’t consider that a rude question (or 2) https://www.discovery-japan.me/category/select/pid/46024 The delivery by FedEx was swift and unmolested!
  14. 2 boxes of track sets, they look like fun! Now thinking I should’ve got a 3rd for the G601TR instead of wheels.
  15. That is safest, I wouldn’t put anything vintage that I was concerned about in the dishwasher, like a rare or valuable model. I’ve put a plenty through with no problems, inluding a Bush Devil runner on eco including the drying part without issue.
  16. Watch out for heat esp. drying in a dishwasher if used as the heat can damage plastics. Run on an ‘eco’ wash if it’s an option on the appliance
  17. Me too, I really like the shape the wheels and the overall look of this & the G6 chassis performance. I’m planning on painting it a mix of silver, red white & blue. And partially painting the wheels silver, maybe to use them on the Konghead, got some ideas I wanna try out. The half tracks and other bits are on order from overseas so could be a while.
