  2. reinforced parts and a thread former tool and a little surprise from Japan
  3. Thank you both, now i have many options
  4. Realized my HW 120amp ESC was too big for my XV-01 front to back and really snug side to side, so i may have to find a smaller one, that can run my 13.5 apex v2 Suggestions for a ESC than can run a 13.5 tuned motor or even a combo that wont break the bank
  5. Here is my issue: it fits sideways but the wires are just gonna be messy, i may just buy a whole setup i dunno yet...lol
  6. It's not a heat issue (yet...lol) its the fact that the ESC only fits one way as its too wide (long?) the other way, ill get a pic and show you what i mean.
  7. the esc i have is pretty big and only fits sideways, which makes me sad and makes wiring a nightmare, so i am looking for a brushless esc/motror combo that wont break the bank but also will fit in the limited space the XV offers. Suggestions?
  8. More progress Got my electrics out of my x-ray, gonna need some wire...lol and a longer senor wire as well. Might buy a new motor not sure yet. That's a Apex v2 13.5 and a hobbywing 120amp xerun One of 2 possible spektrum receivers i will use
  9. Alright good to know and thanks for the info on the spacer set, ill see if i can dig one up!
  10. Lemme ask you guys, on the back a arms, the little NN23 spacer (the one that goes on the big hing pin before the ball that goes into the suspension brace (blue aluminum one) i was missing one so i just put it together without it on once side. Is that a issue cause i can find some washers if need be. Also where do i get these dust shields the manual keeps mentioning?
  11. Stopping for the night got the rear attached with the Kevlar belt and CVD's
  12. More progress, i am taking my time atm, i still need to take the motor and electrics from my x-ray
  13. Thanks it's a Cow RC magnetic work mat The purpose of a slipper clutch is to reduce wheel spin thus helping with traction on loose surfaces. On my carpet buggies i run a slipper eliminator because of the high traction.
  14. Progress!! Had to do it 2x cause i forgot about the slipper main shaft...lol also the screw near the pully on the bottom right that holds the front of the diff together didn't snug down, it just spins, i thing i stripped the housing
  15. Finally got some real progress on the XV-01, even if i had to take the diff apart because i forgot the slipper clutch comes with a main shaft...lol oh and i might have to again as i want to add sealed bearings and the screw below the pulley on the bottom right in the first pic feels loose, any thoughts on how to remedy that?
  16. got my spacers so i can finally move on with the kit
  17. @Juls1 @gizard Thanks all for the advice, I've ordered a forming tool, should be here by may first...lol It's on page 5 of the manual, in the grey section on the left of the page.:)
  18. So i noticed that certain step calls for a tap for the diff cover screws? Is this absolutely necessary? if so guess i'll have to get one. Is it to avoid ,cracking the housing?
  19. another piece of the XV-01 puzzle, a kevlar belt
  20. Finally got started on my Xv-01 only to now have to wait for spacers...lol I will be making a new build thread pending approval from Twinset. I'll link when it's up in the build section
  21. And we have begun! However i have to now wait for my spacers...lol Once the spacers come i can really get into it. I do hope i put enough fluid in them...lol
  22. My first thought was a Arrma anything really but more towards Granite BLX or the Big rock, both great bashers that come waterproof and RTR
  23. Thanks for the link, i already clicked it before i read the bottom post...lol Thanks for the info! So as i only have the factory shock towers (i need to order at least the front carbon one) do you have a part number for the sway bars? Also are we to use the 502x on only the front? thanks!
  24. Finally got my diff gear shafts in, so the XV-01 build can begin, i got 2 more pieces coming (carbon reinfoced steering and battery cover and my kevlar belt but i can actually start my build thread proper
