So i got my rear shock locator and put in my shocks but couldn't figure out why the rear end had no real rebound and now i know, when i did the bearings i messed up on the little springs that hold tension on the front of the diff, one is bent all to heck and the other is under the axle not over...lol. So can i just replace these with the ampro mount or do i need to order a new set?
-
So my rear mount, front CRP FX-10 kit and my new fream replacements for my beetle showed so i am gonna be busy lol
-
Should be getting my Lunchbox rear suspension mount today so i can finally see if these shocks will work Also got my blades for my Tamiya Kraft tool that wont be here till Feb lol

Sorry about that, i knew i forgot something...lol MF01X Beetle variant , stock everything except using bearings, but i have the yeah racing hop up kit on the way -
Just picked up my TRF shocks and they have the 2 and 3 hole option, and i was wondering how big a difference it makes, i was going to run 40wt as it's what i have here but if there is a better weight I can get that. Thanks!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Cokes looks like after 2014 when he released his auto-biography he hasn't done much, being 60 now he's probably relaxing
-
Awesome thanks! BTW the guy responded and showed me his also poke out with the covers on, so i guess it's just how they are
-
Yeah that doesn't look bad at all, also i love your mud flaps, do you have more pics of the car or a build thread?
-
I found it on a TT02 page on facebook, i ask ed him if he shortened the track to have them sit flush, the page it's called Tamiya TT02 Appreciation Area (UK) Oh really? Hmm this would be great
-
****, i am getting the XV-01 and now i am sad. I wonder if they can be replicated in 3d printing with a smaller offset? Pics would be great thanks! I suppose you could widen the archers some but on lexan that would be very tricky and end up ruining the classic lines

Really , that's a shame, how much bigger are they?

New Redcat International Scout

Yeah them not getting into this market is like them shooting themselves in the foot. With Tamiya's attention to detail there could be a huge market, and i know crawling is HUGE in japan for that very reason among others but they will sit idle and ignore the market. I love Tamiya but i agree they don't make a ton of sense -
$250 bucks for glue? wow... i am surprised there nothing that strong in Japan for a decent price. I remember years ago i had a CA glue from japan that was literally covered in warnings to not get any on your hands and let me tell you they were not kidding...lol

Saw these on a TT02 page and i fell in love, can't find a name and my google fu is weak as i can't find them I will 3d print some if need be...lol

Tamiya is sending me parts A1 and A3 as replacements also my aluminum servo mount showed up. You don't think my servo is too wide causing warping? It;s a Savox SC-1258TG it's 54mm wide from the mounting posts side to side. I would assume all servos except oversized or mini would be universal in width. We shall see -
Good lord that is excessive...lol Maybe i wont get into crawlers after all.
-
Are they that bad? Never made any so im not sure

Ordered the CRP front end and a rear shock relocator for my Lunchbox hopefully gonna sort out final battery mounting and begin getting the body ready for paint

I spent about 4 hrs last night trying to solve a front diff issue on my newly built rally beetle only to find out the front transmission case is likely warped. I know this because i used lexan to shim the case apart in the front just a hair and the diff works perfect... i gotta contact Tamiya for replacements, in the mean time i have to seal up the bottom using some high strength clear vinyl from work
