ok everyone we are planning a meet at clumber maybe next sat or sun being the 8th or 9th september. anyone interested. i will be bringing my re-re frog, manta ray and e-savage. freq i will be using : 27mhz band 3 orange, 40mhz band 53 & 86. -
ive run a few fireball motors in the past and was disapointed with perfomance, i now but yokoma motors i have a cracking 13t and 17t pro stock 2's and there great and at around 15 on ebay are very cheap too. could you not fit the new tamiya 103 esc that runs twin motor's although only sport tuned or similar 23 turns motors.

hi there never knew tamiya made a twin motor esc so looked around the net. * Genuine Tamiya Hop Up Options * 45037 TEU-103BK SPEED CONTROLLER ESC for TWIN MOTOR * This new ESC has been specifically designed for use with Tamiya's twin electric motor R/C vehicles to control up to two Sport-Tuned Motors, but is about the same size as the TEU-101BK for compact efficiency. The ESC allows you to set a button for cancelling reverse, and together with an LED display allows easy setting of neutral, acceleration, and reverse/braking high points. It's "smart" feature adjusts the neutral and high points according to transmitter inputs, and it is possible to use this ESC with most transmitters on the market today. It also features built-in Battery Elimination Circuitry (BEC), so it can be used conveniently even with receivers that do not have this feature. *Compatible Chassis: Wild Dagger, Twin Detonator, TXT-1, Super Clodbuster Specifications # Compatible Receiver: TAMIYA, KO PROPO, FUTABA, JR, SANWA/AIRTRONICS(Blue "Z" Connector only) # Control System: High Frequency Wave Drive # System Max continuous current (FET Spec): Forward 150A, Reverse 75A Power Supply: 7.2v (6 Cells) # Compatible Motor: Up to 2 Sport Tuned Motors # Driving Frequency: 1kHz BEC Voltage: 6.0v # Dimensions 35mm x 36.5mm x 21.5mm Weight 54.2g * Comes with external connector for use with separately available light control unit. * English Instruction Manual Included so two 23 turn motors are the limit. hope this helps.

tamiya monkey replied to stumblin's topic in All things electric...
did you say that the diffs have been changed, because two friends run an avante mk2 and a keen hawk and both have destroyed the gearboxes (alot of clicking under power) and thats using the mambamax 5700 smaller pinion set and larger spur, front and rear cvd's and slipper clutch and that is using 4500mah 7.2v nimh's. -

hi there just bought a manta ray of the bay, in great shape with only a bent prop shaft which i have on order, is the manta ray a ta01 or ta02 and what are difference's between them apart from colour, also what other parts fit this car so i can look at getting some spares, i heard that twin detinator drive shaft fit so does that mean i can buy the td cvd's that are on ebay at the mo. what other upgrades would you recommend, all new gears installed and will be running a yokohomo pro stock 2 motor with 13 turns once the smaller pinions come. any advice would be handy as it is the first time i have had this chassis type.

hi all, ok got my nib frog through and has been built, ran out of 1150 bearings so front and rear axles will have to manage with plastic bushes for the weekend, also got my manta ray through from the bay, stripped, cleaned and now fully ballraced and ready for the weekend. weather looks good for sunday so me and a few friends will be there. so all i need to know is a time and where to meet. -

sorry joel about today matey, had a few problems when running cars yesterday, firstly my keen hawk esc decided to set fire, got my high lift on ebay so everything stipped out so that leaves me with my lonely touareg. dont worry on ebay as we speak. -
my friend has got an e-zilla, and seeing it in action is a great truck, he doe'nt get much run time even with 3700mah mtroniks race packs, he's just ordered some 4300mah packs and some 17t pinions in an attempt on getting a little longer run time, can anyone advise me on a good brushless setup to take the 14.4v and twin motors.
