  5. i have hardly any steering with the 2.2 hpi wheels and geolander tyre fitted, was hoping to make a direct mod has anyone got any pictures to give a clue where to start, i have a high torque steering servo fitted.
  6. is it thee front or rear Tg10 axle that are needed, also i have some yokohoma geolanders and was woundering if to leave the foam insert's in or to take them out.
  7. hi there i have some hpi chrome rims fitted with geolanders but the front axle's are not long enough to get the nylocks on fully would these tg10 axles sort that out for me.
  8. was wanting to get the steering servo upfront for more direct action, what parts will i need any ideas or pictures would be great. im using the body lift kit so need to take that into account. also when i fitted lift kit rear steering lock rods would not fit, what has everyone else done to rectify this.
  9. i have just built my high lift and used some 4ex-fm and it works great, excellent piece of kit.
  10. this futaba gear i bought looks great but not sure how to setup to use the gate i got from stella, i have put a picture of it in my showroom (high lift) im using the right stick top/mid/bottom for gear change with the left to right for steering, and using the left stick for throttle. it does'nt tell you anything in the book as it only covers aircraft, i bought this over the 4wd gear for the 40mhz and it was easier to get hold off, would really like to setup properly.
  11. hi there just finished my build around 2:30am this morning, wow what a build. i have fitted in mine a LRP AI Pro Reverse Digital, this has a 10 turn limit , a rated current of 180 amps and a 5v bec, motor wise i have fitted an integry pro lathe motor 35 turn single. once i have had chance to get some paint this weekend, then looking forward to taking it for a spin. hope this helps.
  12. hi there has anyone got a e savage by hpi, liked the twin motor/twin battery idea and vids lokk great was just woundering about run times and weather there any good, mainly buy tamiya but liked the look of this one for bashing about.
  13. i agree it is rare to be charged but i always put alittle money aside incase you do get hit, just ordered myself a high lift and keen hawk from hong kong amd saved a fortune even if i did get charged import tax.
  14. thanks for the advice, helped me out no end.
  15. the teu101bk and lathe motor would be in my touareg as i already have a ai pro reverse esc for the high lift. so was woundering if that suit the xc chassis. plus will runnig the standard pinion in the hi lift with 2.2" wheels on.
  16. i know that the limit is 23t but is there a limit the other way, i have a touareg with a sport tuned motor and i have just ordered a couple 35t integy lathe motors one for my hilift and one for this.
  17. hi there thanks for that, i have ordered the body lift kit off ebay today, and looking at some hpi 2.2 chrome wheels to go with the yokohama geolander tyres, is the 13t pinion included in the kit or would i need to purchase one.
  18. im going to take your advice, cheers mate.
  19. im alittle torn on this one, just ordered my high lift yesterday and dont know what to use either around a 37t lathe motor or just the stock motor as i want it to climb but would be nice if i could have a little speed.
  20. acoms techniplus 4fm model AP401-40
  21. hi there im just looking at buying radio gear for my high lift i have just ordered, the reciever is not bec as far as i can see, maybe this due to the fact your running so many servo's or something, i was looking at getting some 4vwd futaba radio but prefered 40mhz kit, was woundering which was best suited to the high lift, the acoms 4ch radio or the futaba 4ex and im i correct about the bec question.
  22. thanks for that mate, intending on getting some futaba 4ex-fm radio but was just interested, thanks for your reply.
  23. noticed someone using cheapo hitec zebra 3ch radio, where the 3rd channel is on a trim, how usable is this really.
  24. all i know about chargers is they charge batteries, im using a ripmax pro-peak varipulse 2500vp, are these any good as i dont race just bash about as much as i can, at mo using cheapo 3000mah nimh packs, best one i have is a reedy black label 2 3300mah, thing is wanting to increase and start using high amp batteries and woundered if a better charger would be worth while.
  25. wow thanks alot for taking the time to check, excellent photo show just what is missing many thanks indeed.
