Hi everyone just a quick one, im looking at getting a couple of round lipo's to fit some of the tamiya's where the square ones dont fit, got a few square ones and some small ones in old tamiya hump back battery boxes, so i need two for the odd one where the battery fits through the chassis like my M04L for one.
Heres what im looking at
Abisma 3000 25c
Core 3000 20c
Abisma 4200 25c
Overlander sport track 3250 30c
Nvision 3700 45c
All meet what i need performance wise, just after a few recommendations for fitment size, quality and performance please.
Thanks in advance.

Ive tried everywhere with no luck, when ive seen them come up on ebay they've gone for silly money, so im loaning one of a friend and looking having one made, has anyone had any luck doing this before, if you have let me know and show me some pictures etc.
This topic may help others in the same boat.
Thanks in advance.

Hi mate i just read I have my sand scorcher with the original electronics, and wrongly assumed that you were running an original sand scorcher and not a re-re.
Not sure what you issue is fella. Do you have a spare Rx or esc to test.

Hobbyking servo's are cheap and chearful, its hard to tell if the towerpro's your buying are original or knock-offs these day.
I use these for basic tamiya stuff http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16269__HK15138_Standard_Analog_Servo_38g_4_3kg_0_17s.html
and if you need a more robust servo with metal gear for scalers or heavier kits then i use these http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__23487__HK15328A_Analog_BB_MG_Servo_58g_12_8kg_0_20s.html

Post a picture of the insides matey, if your using the original mechanical speed controller with modern radio there might be an issue with how its wired or the voltage its sending to your RX.

Im always up for a friendly meet, been all over the country and met some real nice people, We meet at clumber park every month or so and its great to get so many liked minded folk that have such a passion for vintage and modern tamiya's in one place.
Be sure to post if you have some suggestions on a location.

Let us all know your thoughts when setting up and how they perform steve.

The rate its showing is the dicharge rate, so at 1amp it would take 4 hours to fully discharge, Same as charge rate, at 1c which would be 4amps to charge would take 1 hour to fully charge a flat battery, but as there rarely going to be flat it never seems to take very long. If your going to be using your batteries every few weeks or so i wouldn't put them in storage mode.

We have three sets of these, had them 2 odd years and found them great value, Rx's are cheap and 15 model memory is enough for most.

Another video from the meet on the 16.03.14. from Uncle Terry.

Wouldn't you be better looking for something like the esc out of a e-maxx or e-savage that can handle that sort of power.
Looking at the one you have mentioned its 320a rating would be the burst i would have thought, it might run twin silver cans but i wouldn't bank on it lasting long.
The Tamiya TEU106BK is for two motors with over 25 turns and max voltage 7.2v.

Still photo's and video from my brother terry yet, he had his Nikon D300 and a GoPro 3 black edition on the day so they better be good lol, no pressure.
-
Great video John, there is just my brothers video to come when he pulls his finger out lol. Nice one John.
