  1. Wonderfully done! I like the simple and effective design. A much needed upgrade for the DF-01 👍
  2. I had a great time running my RC10 all over the place. Two battery packs, some footage taken along the way and tons of dust and gravel. Well over an hour of trouble free fun. Judging by the year printed on her original manual, this 80s icon is exactly my age 😅😎 Some pics here, more will be posted in the gallery. I could spot a happy Ronnie at the end of the run... it really was time to get off the shelf for a change.
  3. I've used clearcoat a couple times on the hood of my old battered up Hornet shell, just because I had nothing to lose 😅. It made it look much nicer for a while, then of course it started chipping off and disintegrating as more tumbles and battle scars happened. So while I would never use it on a good body, I could recommend it to revive and old shell that still has some life in it.
  4. Fantastic work on those box arts @Re-Bugged they look just stunning 😲👍 I'm amazed at how much they are enhanced by the matching colored frames. Too much drama and not enuff RC for my liking lately, but I got some good times with the Manta Ray. Went to a random, cute little town by the river -whose name I've forgotten already- and ran the bejeez out of it. That park and whole area was pleasantly flooded by sunlight, which felt great. I soaked it all in and it also made for some cool shots. After taking the photo below, I pulled the trigger on my remote and it got stuck. The car went and flew off the concrete and on to the rocks/water. I saw it disappearing from my front view, and for a moment, well, I thought it was going to be the end of it. I swiftly ran down there to find out that the Manta got stuck between two rocks just a few inches away from the deep water... and with nothing more than a bunch of scratches and a bent turnbuckle 😶 To say that I lucked out just wouldn't cut it... I can't for the life of me explain how the car didn't fly deep into the water and most of all how it didn't shatter on its way there, but hey I'l take it 😝✌ Bonus pics with the fancy rig were taken thinking of you @Re-Bugged 😎 And some more in the Golden hour!
  5. This is making me want to move to Germany! Lovely photos 👌
  6. It really looks the part @Re-Bugged, I can't believe there's a Terra Scorcher chassis under that Brat! 😲😎 Not today but yesterday I tackled the shocks on my AE RC10, which needed refilling. I replaced the oil entirely, smeared all the parts with Green Slime, and applied a tiny bead of marine grade silicone around the old gaskets on the top part of the shocks. This should be enough for the good season and maybe more, since I don't drive it that often, but for next time I plan on replacing all the O rings with new associated ones. I already have them in stock, but wanted to squeeze whatever life is left out the old ones 😁 In low rider stance Here it is once done. Next, it's time to drive!
  7. Wow... I am overwhelmed by the awesomeness, it looks like RC heaven over there 😍🤩 🤟 So many cool looking and interesting vehicles. Have fun guys, wish I could join!
  8. I finished the body facelift I had planned for my Terra Scorcher. It took longer than expected, but I'm glad I did it. All those paint chips happened during some relatively severe tumbles. In other words, lucky me as the shell didn't crack! The facelift started from this: While making sure to remove all the loose paint, I chipped it a little too far down, so I had to re do part of the window gasket as in this case it's painted on the body (something I doubt I'll ever do again, lol). WIP with masking tape involved ...and a few photos of the final result For the occasion I slapped the stock wheels back on. Coated in PS paint, they are so shiny they almost seem to glow at dusk. Now that the car is in full on shelf mode again, of course all I wanna do is run it 😄
  9. @Pylon80 sweet! Looks like you've got some good options. About that, as much as I'd like very much to meet you in person, I certainly can understand the choice... I left a chunk of my heart in @Re-Bugged land myself, and thoughts/dreams of re-relocation do still come up at home quite consistently. Maybe eventually we will all reunite Down Under to run our RCs together
  10. Nice one @Pylon80, and well done for showing up without grocery bags 😂 indeed, one could argue that yours was a better approach, using a rental to get your bearings first, rather than risking a precious body shell worth many hours of work I get it that your are hooked, man, for sure. Since I went to the track, I haven't had the chance to go back yet but I've been thinking about it every single day. Good to learn the vibe was good over there as well! I'm sure you'll go back soon, and am also wondering if your next relocation will see you in my neck of the woods again? Wishing you the best with both
  11. Yes! It's definitely time for the dictators' set 🤣 Start with the current ones, and then further sets with those of the past. It would be quite the line to collect... but with the quirkiness excuse, Tamiya could get away with it 😂
  12. Box art looks stunning. For the first time I find myself thinking "better looking than the OG version" Must resist, but it's very tempting.
  13. Apparently it's official, Optima Pro it is! Edit I wasn't able to link, but there's photos around on IG.
  14. Looks like the Optima Pro, indeed. That's cool, but my wild dream in the matter would be the Kyosho Gallop! Wish they'd rerelease that one, especially the mk2.
