  7. No bother, didn’t realise there was a difference. Good luck with your search!
  8. I was going to build a set and pulled together all the parts, which I’m now selling as a complete lot BNIP. Apologies if it’s more than you need or more than you want to spend, but it’s what it all cost me so I’m just looking to recover that and thought it was worth a share https://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp?cid=122703&id=52876
  9. Think it depends on the backing. That yellow does look a bit washed out against the white, whereas i have some with the neon yellow against a gun metal background and it really “pops”! I’ll try and take a photo tomorrow 👍
  10. And buy a new cheap saucepan to do it in!
  11. Ordered from RCJaz on the 7th, delivered today!
  12. In that case, as an example, here in the UK the TT02D chassis is priced roughly the same as a typical entry level TT02 kit For which you get full bearings, sport tuned motor, CVAs, a heat sink and hard tyres instead of a body kit, silver can, ESC and grip tyres. So for what you want it's probably a good deal?
  13. I bought one and was pretty disappointed with it to be honest. There was nothing in the manual that mentioned drifting, nothing in the set up that made it 'specific' to drifting or explains what it's all about. There was a tiny bit on the outer box about how to drift, but other than that it is basically a standard TT02 sea of plastic, with bearings, hard tyres, CVA dampers, heat sink and a sport tuned motor. For the money (about £120) it didn't make much sense I ended up sending it back and buying a TT02R, which was on offer and ended up being cheaper! It comes with bearings, upgraded spur gear, steering turnbuckle links, metal motor mount, prop cups, prop shaft, outdrives, axles, dogbones and rear uprights. At a basic kit level it is a far better buy, and apart from the plastic tyres it has no less driftability (which is a word, right?) than the D spec. I've bought a diff lock block and some drift spec wheels/tyres and all in come out £20 more than the D spec kit, with a much better spec which can be good for different uses in the future
  14. If anyone has a set of TT02 Blue A Parts (gearbox covers, steering links etc), part ref 47333 that they don't need, let me know! cheers!
  15. This is a really useful build thread @graemevw thanks! How have you been getting on with it over the last year or so? Any changes or updates?
  16. Me too @Truck Norris I’d be up for 2 sets if they’re still available 👍
  17. That's really useful, thank you! It makes sense that it doesn't have a mechanical impact, but just looks odd aesthetically
  18. Huh, how about that? It’s included with the standard TT02 kit too, I have one! Wonder why they don’t just include it in the build? Top tip, cheers!
  19. Yup, the cups / shaft come with one o-ring between them, which I put in the front cup, and there was still enough slack to warrant a bushing in the rear!!
  20. Hi! I went through the same process last year, and did get the body shell in the end. The part number is 1825880, and Seidel in Germany have it in stock, if you know someone in Germany who will buy it and ship it for you! https://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index.php?firma=Tamiya&best=1825880 In the end I got a friendly hobby store owner to break open a kit and sell me the shell and stickers. You might be better off doing that, or buying a full kit and then selling on the rest as a TT02B chassis without shell? Sticker sheet is 9495883, or you could try MCI decals? Seidel have got the A parts too https://www.modellbau-seidel.de/index.php?firma=Tamiya&best=9000562, as have Tamico, The Border...
  21. Cool, thanks, I'll give that a go. It seems very weird that it would be designed that way, even in Tamiyaland
  22. Yup, spacers behind the servo horn would work. So would a Hi-Torque servo saver apparently. It just seems weird that it would be designed this way
  23. That's awesome advice, thank you. I would never have seen that one coming Blimey, those MB13 flange tubes are expensive!!! Step screws it is (50582).....
