  1. Hi! Sorry to breathe life into an old thread, but I have a question and I reckon you're the man for the answer! I'm working on two Calsonic Skyline body sets; the 50430 GT-R GR.A and the 50846 GT-R R34 I painted the R34 last year, in PS-30 as per the instructions and it looks great I've just come to paint the R32, and the instructions say to paint it PS-4, which is a much darker blue I've had a quick check on Tamiyabase and the original R32 kits (eg 58135) have PS-30 listed as the colour And I see in this thread that you painted yours PS-30 too I'm inclined to go PS-30 rather than the PS-4 specified in the instructions, but wondered if there is any rationale for the 50430 body set to specify PS-4, or is just "one of those Tamiya things"? Thanks in advance for your help!
  2. Sorry, but I'm going to keep the other four. I just know that as soon as I leave myself with none I will suddenly need them, because that's how life works, right? Sorry I couldn't help out this time
  3. Just added the Lancia Delta and the 2x CLK-GTRs
  4. @futureworks seems like red are the ones I never use πŸ˜‚ do you want two or four? No charge either way...
  5. Definitely David, I'll dig some out of the garage later and get back to you πŸ‘
  6. Been away for a couple of weeks enjoying the sunshine and coastal paths of North Devon. Back to the real world now, but to soften the blow I returned to a few parcels of joy from the postie Some tasty F103 bits, black wheels and suspension mounts for two TA04 projects, motor and red adjusters for my red-chassis M05 Mini Cooper Monte Carlo project, a few more TT01 Hop Ups that I'm gradually harvesting for a future project and finally, at last, after 5 months on back order, a second set of Killerbody rims to finish my purple-themed TA03 πŸ˜ƒ
  7. I salute your work ethic mate…similar conditions saw me brave the rear wing of a MB CLK-DTM, but that was as far as I was willing to push it in the wildly variable weather. Chapeau to your efforts 🫑
  8. 49126 Porsche 911 GT1 Le Mans 1996 Lightweight Ltd Edition Body Set with 50741 and 50742 Rims Β£130 is now SOLD!
  9. It makes me shudder a bit to think about it, but yes, once or twice: The genesis of each build in the thread is either gathering so many Hop Ups that I ended up with enough spare parts to build a whole new chassis, or starting with so many Hop Ups that it didn't make any sense to then buy a kit and instead just gathered everything else and built the whole thing from parts. It's financially insane, but it is how I love to approach the hobby... TA04-R TA04-TRF 40th Anniversary spec TA02-SW TB Evo III TB02-R FF03-RR TT02-Type S (and some) Next up is either going to be this Mini Cooper M05 with a shiny red chassis... Or this full-option carbon TA02-W with a red, white and blue theme... Either way, I have a lot of painting and decorating to do this summer!
  10. I'm gradually selling a few kits that I've decided I'm not going to do anything with, and currently have this 84412 TB04-R for sale Its new in box, still factory sealed and comes with an insane list of upgrade parts and Hop Ups (see the pic below for the list) It's listed on eBay for Β£400 but happy to offer it to TC members for Β£380 inc fully insured UK delivery (PayPal F&F or buyer covers fees) Will also happily ship overseas at cost, to be agreed based on destination
  11. Some bits of RC nonsense... And an actual, genuine, newly-hatched dinosaur πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ
  12. This is absolute artistry, I'm in awe @GermanTA03Guy πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. 50430 Calsonic Skyline Gt-R Gr.A Body Set with 50446 Skyline Cockpit Set & 50487 Masking Sheet Set A & Light Buckets is NOW SOLD!
  14. I would guess that yes, it would have an ESC coming from Amazon. Just a guess though, maybe 85% confidence...
  15. As a rule, yes, but some retailers do remove ESCs sometimes. So it will depend on where you buy it from
  16. @skom25 'Good' is pretty subjective, so you might get some wildly varied opinions, but @OoALEJOoO has summed it up quite nicely I bought my nephew that exact same kit back when he was 11. I figured the pre-cut and painted body would save him a lot of hassle and he could focus on assembly, as he was already a Lego Jedi. He absolutely loved it and ragged the bejesus out of it until he was 14, and nothing broke. Then, you know, girls, football.... I built one last year pretty much box--standard (plus bearings) for carefree bashing, and it's great fun. It hasn't got as much ground clearance as other buggies so has its limitations in terms of terrain but, for the money, I would have no issues in recommending that you go for it πŸ‘
  17. Yup, Zabawki Brothers stopped shipping to the UK just after the new year. No idea why, they have no idea why either, something to do with the courier companies . They seem to ship to pretty much every other country in the world, just not the UK πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  18. And...that's it, for now. I used the last of my 32mm blue turnbuckles on my Evo III so I've had to order a couple more from PJ for the upper arms. So this one goes back on hold, for a bit...
  19. With the front universals rebuilt with new swing shafts, assembling the hubs means a new MSX addition, these little 5x1.9mm bearing spacers that aren't used in the MS even though both variants use the same uprights, hubs, axles and bearings
  20. Putting the front suspension back together to MSX spec means using these mad little 10mm turnbuckles in place of the 10mm grub screws in the stabiliser anchors The front one way is all new parts πŸ˜ƒ It kind of blows my mind a bit that in such an expensive, precise kit you have to glue your own diff and one way pulleys together πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Why were they not just one piece jobbies??
  21. A little bit of progress, a few baby steps until Poland will ship to the UK again.. First, now that I have the titanium coated suspension shafts, the rear arms can go back on Sadly I can't complete the rear suspension without the new swing shafts so it's on to the ball diff next, rebuilt with the new pulley and plates and a set of tungsten carbide diff balls (53124) The belt looks a bit sad without the spur and pulleys to hold it in place 😟
