Hi all, without going into any detail I am just helping out my friend to dispose of these rc cars, I just happened to know a little more about them than he did and no one else in his family was interested. Its a very large collection and his uncle had to move out and the cars had to go! I'm on the fringe advising but I'm not part of the family if you see what I mean!

@Jonathon Gillham well Jonathon as it is a public auction as long as you register to bid and provide the highest bid the "Vanquish" could be yours! I'm sure the auction house would be happy to ship to New Zealand but I imagine the cost would be pretty extortionate and probably far out weigh any financial gains you may make on the car if you get it for a fair price. Auctions are very unpredictable, the estimated values shown are usually low to draw in the bidders! But you may be lucky!

If you bid to your maximum (ie the most you are willing to pay) and you get outbid you wouldn't have won the auction anyway. It's too easy to get drawn in on auctions and pay too much for an item! We've all done it!

Hi @burakol I'm sorry I can't help you with shipping fees to USA, I am surprised that they couldn't give you a ball park figure or an example of cost per kilo for postage and packaging. With regard to USA taxation I haven't got a clue! I do know that the price you pay in the UK includes all UK taxes but you also need to be aware that the winning bid price has a buyers fee added which is +26.34% and covers all VAT and sales tax. Maybe you could start a separate thread on here to ask these questions on the forum. I imagine that you are not the first person to buy on auction from the UK, this forum has a great font of knowledge amongst it's members.

I just found this on eBay UK (of course) could you use something like this assuming its the correct shade? As an aside now that the orange one has the virus do you think it will make any difference to his approach?

Hi ACCEL thanks again for the info. I have a further question, I have seen a mention of Revell Contacta Professional for repairing cracks on bodies. Would this be suitable for repairing polycarbonate bodies or would it heat up and melt the plastic like the others?

My Jordan 191 polycarbonate body has a split and is sprung open as shown in the photos below and I would appreciate some advice on the best repair method. My initial idea was to glue a small piece of polycarbonate on the inside of the body and clamp it until stuck to bring it back into place. But what glue should I use on a polycarbonate body and is sheet polycarbonate available to support it, if where can I buy it? Expert advice welcomed.
