That's the one thing I really don't miss from the old days, actually... the new antenna-less 2.4 receivers are the best thing to happen to this hobby maybe ever. I always hated dealing with an extra mile of antenna wire, and feeding it through a hole in the chassis, the up a little tube... forget it. I don't miss that at all.

The only ones I ever liked were the rigid fiberglass "rollover antennas" on the old 1/12 scale pan cars. But those were really useful in keeping the car on its wheels.

I don’t like the reciever antennas either, but I like the look of the antenna tubes

    Yes!
This is how I built my first robots many moons ago (with tamiya dual gearbox) and I still use a lot of twin escs to power tank drive robots and rc platforms from 75g to 110kg. It all works the same in principle.

You will just need either a 2 into 1 plug adaptor or to solder the power in wires together. You will need to remove, either unplugging or clipping the red wire from one ESC so you don't risk your RX.

Be warned, most RC car escs are unsuitable because of the non instant reverse, lower powered reverse rate and brake delay. Crawler ESCs do not have this issue.

Do you know of any cheap crawler ESCs?

Not liking the konghead? Look for websites that will do easy pay options. I know towerhobbies will split your payment 3x but that’s in usa.

No, I love the konghead, but alsowant a clod, and with towerhobbies, it’s split between 3 months, and I don’t have a job, so it doesn’t really help. I convinced my parents to buy it and keep it until I have enough money, so all is well in my world!
